Marcy’s Song Confirms Her Bisexuality
SPOILER WARNING
Everyone’s freaking about Marceline wearing PB’s top from Stakes at the beginning of “Marcy & Hudson” and the two holding hands for two seconds at the end of “Seventeen”, but we are all ignoring the most crucial of it all: Marceline’s lyrics in her own song!
For the most part, we just listen to it and think “Oh okay, a love song, probably for PB like Francis Forever.” “There isn’t any actual confirmation that they’re gay.”
But the freaking song confirms it. The lyrics “all the other boys” imply one of two things. Marceline is either singing to a guy being approached by guys, or a girl being approached by guys, because she is referring to the suitors of that individual. You have to be dense to think she is singing to a gay guy and Occam's Razor would dictate that she is singing to a girl and the amount of evidence previously described all tie it together.
The wait is over, Bubbline is confirmed because the lyrics in Marceline’s song suggest that she is looking for another girl. It’s just so obvious by now how can you even try and argue in the other direction.
Note: Yes there are people that aren’t completely male or female, but in the AT universe the characters are either male or female, with the exception of those that don’t have a gender like BMO. This is confirmed in the rule63 universe of Adventure Time, where everyone is of “opposite” gender. Being male and being female also mean different things because PB is female, even though she was born asexually...
