CrossFit is dead
I think I have tennis elbow in my right elbow ;( Is it too late to reverse this? And how can I ease/reduce the pain! Thank youuu
It’s definitely not too late! Often times, elbow/wrist pain stems from shoulder dysfunction. Focus on improving shoulder stability. A great exercise for you would be farmer carries and suitcase carries!
Don't lie to her it's too late girl your arm will become a tennis racket before the next full moon do not fight it
My back is finally growing 🌱
Yooooo! You look strong!

we all tell ourselves stories. the sincerity of which varies depending on the time of night, our state of consciousness. the facts fluctuate like the diffused light through a shaded window, and yet we tell our stories. we tell them to ourselves, and we tell them, inadvertent or otherwise to everyone we meet. we lay in the night and we tell ourselves stories. what is the story you tell yourself, can you hear it? your answer is important, because with your story you can manifest a reality. you can build a place where your past failures, and sadness don’t exist. see, i spent most of 2017 in various, subtle states of existential dread, mostly related to so much i couldn’t control. information that flooded me 24/7. so much bad news everywhere you look, the stories of others can wash over you, cover you up, like you were drowning. even though 2017 was an amazing year for me full of so much joy in the face of so much bad i still so often let my anxiety and my negative stories drown out my own story that i wanted to tell.
i got married this year. i found out that i literally, never, ever, ever knew what love truly was until this year. i am blown away by this almost daily. i found a partner that fills my life with joy i didn’t realize was possible.
i celebrated my 3rd full year sober. i will see four.
traveled just a tiny bit. it was amazing.
physically suffered. gym, jiu jitsu, my body often feels like it’s on the verge of giving up, but still i try and press on.
re-took up an old hobby my grandfather taught me, built some fairly decent furniture and odds and ends, was greatly challenged by some cabinets. but they won’t beat me.
got about 80% of the way to starting a business, but put that on hold to focus on buying a house. still working on that one.
tried to read and couldn’t finish 3 books i really like.
through all these little successes, i still feel like i only achieved 10% of what i wanted. i lost so much time to fear and anxiety, self doubt, trying to find validation instead of a clear path. but we beat on, so they say. your story doesn’t have to be what you think it is. you can change it all tomorrow. i’ve preached this here for years; you are not obligated to be tomorrow who you were today. the story you tell yourself can change. and it doesn’t have to be tomorrow. January 1 has no meaning. don’t let it have weight. your story can begin right now. we live in an insane world where the distractions are so plentiful that anyone can be sympathetic that they got the best of you, but your story needs to be the loudest one you hear. you have to focus and tune everything else out.
finally, i have to say; let this not be new news to you. maybe rather, it’s a gentle reminder of your purpose. a wakeup call that you were expecting, a feeling of Déjà entendu, if you will. your life is yours, and we all tell ourself stories. make your your own. make it fun. make it fulfilling. make sure it’s exciting, and most of all protect it so that no one can take it from you. the year is over, but your years are not. if you are not happy. take immediate action to get happy. if you are happy, find a way to help someone else get there. if you find yourself alone, ask yourself how you got there, the story is not told by yourself, it’s best experienced by those you bring with you. the ones you love, and the ones who love you. now is the time.
although i don’t write there much, my feelings on 2017 are summed up on my other blog, SSL. reblogged here for you because i don’t write much here anymore, either. i miss this space in it’s hay-day and i fear we lose it’s essence more and more as days pass. i encourage you, in 2018 to quit twitter and facebook and find something constructive to put your time to, and find someone or something to love. the world is garbage otherwise.

Whipped up this bench without incident. Waiting on this Danish oil to dry then going to add some wipe-on poly. There are some things i would have done differently with this design/build but overall i’m satisfied. (at Orlando, Florida)
