why we hate the stuff teen girls love

I'm making this because I've seen tons of people say that everyone just hates what girls like because sexism which just isn't true

1. it infects your day to day life 

women in general but especially young women are the hands of the market they spend the most money so they are what the market bends to in general (excluding niche markets like tractor supply or something) but that said when most teenage girls like something it will be the only thing you'll see for a while and if you don't share there taste it's pretty annoying 

ex: 

movies made all right after hunger games: divergent, insurgent, enders game, maze runner, the giver, the host, the 5th wave

all sifi ya novels turned movies, why? teen girls like it

2. they are rabid

teens, in general, are not great at controlling their temper hormones and all that but when you combine that with an undying love for something and the internet you get this:

and we can talk about “bts stans” but you get the idea

3. everything they like is objectively kinda bad

if the first horror movie you saw was the nun you would say it was pretty ok if not good

if you've seen one horror movie before that you would say “didn't I already watch this?” 

tropes don't hinder something until it builds up, teens are just now watching some of there first mature movies and thinking there fresh new and exciting but even to someone in there early twenties its repetitive uninspired echos of much better stuff

and if you're asking “what makes it better? who put you in charge of what's good?????” 

art is not subjective if you color a whole scene blue it will read sad color it yellow it will read happily. our brains are wired pretty similarly and the point of art is to make you express the feeling the artist wants you to

what is objectively scary is surprise

what is objectively not surprising is something we have seen before

there for a horror movie has objectively failed if it can not surprise you

all art can be broken down this way fight me.

anyway i hope this explains why this is but I mean like what you like now that you know everyone else will hate it you got nothing to lose

so you already know i’m less than thrilled that Marvel writer Daniel Kibblesmith is introducing a new nonbinary superhero whose name is ‘Snowflake’ (ugh) and whose twin is called ‘Safespace’ (uuughhhh)

you know. that thing. the thing where either the artist wasn’t informed that Snowflake and Safespace are siblings or the artist is one of those people with SUPER creepy ideas about how twins work.

or maybe the artist isn’t to blame and Marvel’s going to pull another Ultimates Maximoffs, which really would be the perfect marching band to add to this fail parade wouldn’t it

The problem with non-binary

Hold on to the end because it's not what you think.

So let me start the problems

first off if you are okay with your own body you should not be taking up resources for people who are not.

Second trying to take up a pronoun nobody uses will just make you more upset there's no point.

Mini genders just push people away from taking you seriously if you feel like a girl like girly things but once in a blue moon you wear jeans that doesn't mean you changed your gender or are gender-fluid it just means you like boy things and you like girl things sometimes everyone is like that same goes for greygender demiboy and demigirl and everything like that

Explain yourself. you can't just say "I'm non-binary" and that's that. that would be a perfect world but people don't accept stuff just because you tell them to. if you tell everyone that there's a dinosaur living in their closet and think they should believe you because you're not hurting anyone? that's not going to happen. people transitioning into men people transitioning into women have had years and years of having to explain this to people before getting where they are if you're non-binary you will have to do it to you don't get the skip over that part.

Now for the second part the problem with people not believing in non-binary

Starting off simple being transgender is not just a connection with the opposite gender it's a disconnect with your own. so it's very possible to have a disconnect with your gender but not have a connection with the opposite one which leaves you in this fuzzy middle.

You don't know what people are going through. Stop telling people that they just want to be special snowflakes to be honest most of them probably have and identity crisis which non-binary people aren't going to like me saying that but it's true I don't mean that they don't know who they are I mean they don't like who they are so they have to change it maybe because of trauma or assault or even something in the developmental years people don't just decide to change their name and cut their hair and try to be someone completely different for no reason.

And lastly to a shock for anyone who went through my blog, I consider myself non-binary. When I was young my mom would continuously attack me for my gender she would say that I was a slut or a whore even though I was maybe 12 so I would dress like a boy and I was happy with people calling me a guy or thinking I was a guy I currently have an eating disorder which makes it hard for me to connect to my body at all, I go to the gym with the idea of becoming more buff I wear sports bras because I like the look of having smaller breasts. But I have no interest in getting rid of them I have no interest in changing my sex I have interest in people perceiving me neutrally because like I said before I have a disconnect with my gender.

Personally I think the reason non-binary is only coming out now is because for the first time people are seeing what it feels like to be genderless. when the internet came about people no longer new if you were a boy or a girl so they treated you as if you were neither and once people like me got taste of that they knew what they wanted they just wanted to be treated like neither.

This was a big rambling post but I'm about to abandon this blog so I thought the last thing I post should be something I care about so here you go

Dude your first image isn't from the straight Pride parade it was in an article that was published before the straight Pride Parade even happened you could have done the smallest amount of research you can't be that confident and not even look where the image came from

Obviously you've never read anything about the Nazis and that's okay most people who talk about them haven't but the first thing that they did was claim that Jewish people were privileged Jewish people had more money Jewish people had more power and that's why they decided to murder them

if you ever research it it's actually really interesting like try reading ordinary men where it talks about how all the Nazis would convince themselves into Mass murderering and you'll see a lot of parallels to the language not only you use but most people on this site use which is dehumanizing people in order to be okay with harming them

since this post is actually getting attention rn i really want to emphasize this-

many of the “tells” of lying are traits commonly found in abuse survivors and mentally ill/disabled people.

stuttering, averting eye contact, panicking, raising your volume, fidgeting, and other similar traits are actions performed commonly by these groups, especially in situations of heavy stress- such as being accused of doing something we didnt do, especially if we are afraid of being punished for doing nothing.

im honestly begging people to think critically when accusing somebody of lying for small traits like these.

Just going to add that I knew a pathological liar very well and let me tell you they are incredibly confident in lying some people are so good that they reconstruct the world to believe their own lies

The best way I find if somebody is lying is to get them to tell you the whole story and then a few days later get them to tell you the story again rinse and repeat as many times as possible before they catch on

in a person telling the truth the story will wiggle around a bit but in a person that is lying they will miss huge things they will completely change settings and people, people will say things that they didn't say the first time and so on

Literally right now, as we speak, the Supreme Court is debating on whether or not it should be legal to fire a person for their sexual orientation because right now the laws vary from state to state and in some cases city to city. Like that is literally happening today, October 8th, 2019. 

It’s cute that you think I’d lie about that on a day that our community is experiencing a crisis of basic rights. 

But I also think that you’re never going to believe me because I’m just a stranger on the internet. So I shall leave you with this:

May one day you get the job of your dreams and may you confide in someone a secret about you that you cannot control. May this secret be so disturbing to that person that they go to upper management, and may you lose your job from it.

Chick-Fil-A is NOTORIOUS for not only firing people almost immediately upon finding out ANY LGBTQ+ person works there, but they are HIGHLY homophobic in their interview process (along with being like SUPER underlying racist af but “say” they follow that law)

It’s basically legal af to fire someone in Texas based upon their sexual preference/identification, and massive corporations take advantage of this - it’s why there is a LARGE gap of the LGBTQ+ there in comparison to other states, there’s just less available working/living situations that allow someone to be LGBTQ+.
