What if Kylo Ren (or any force user for that matter) was to be sent back in time to manipulate the timelines from before the clone wars. The idea is to manipulate the timelines to fulfil the prophecy and turn Anakin to the dark side and allow for the birth of Darth Vader.Â
First Kylo travels to Naboo and is responsible for using the force to clone the ray shield doors between Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon/ Darth Maul during their duel. This leads to Qui-Gon’s death due to the absence of Obi-wan in the duel’s climax. This means Obi-Wan trains Anakin who eventually falls down the dark path, which may have been preventable by Qui-Gon.
Next, Kylo moves forward to Tatooine to visit the Sand People and it is he who prompts (or maybe forces) them to Kidnap Anakin’s Mother, making her a direct Target. This then follows that they kidnap her and ultimately lead to her death, causing Anakin’s outrage and slaughter.
The next manipulation is in the Clone Wars, where Kylo meets Barriss Offee and is the one responsible for turning her against the Jedi and frame Ahsoka Tano for her crimes (be it through force suggestion or by more persuasive techniques). This eventually results in Ahsoka’s departure from the Jedi. This again leads Anakin further astray from the Jedi.
And finally, and most importantly, he is on Polis Massa after Order 66 and Anakin and Obi-Wan’s duel. He, somehow escaping the awareness of Yoda and Obi Wan, manipulate Padme, causing her to ultimately die after giving birth to Luke and Leia. The diagnosis of ‘losing the will to live’ was actually her life being drained from her (which could fit with the theory of Palpatine/Dark side forces draining Padme to ensure Vader’s survival ). Kylo does this to prevent Vader from turning back towards the light too soon.
Other dealings he could have been involved with were the Duel on Malachor and other significant events. The idea that everything is guided by the force could be made somewhat literal in these cases, with Kylo using the force to manipulate the time lines.
This idea would help to link the new trilogy more with the Clone Wars era. Just a thought.
