When you come back from a long break and you feel like an overcooked noodle in the water.
How often do you train and do you swim meters or yards
9-10 times a week during winter and 11 times a week during summer, and I usually train SCM
I've been swimming for years (started at 4!) and my older sisters and I recently stumbled across your blog. We've all been swimmers all our lives and we absolutely cracked up at some of your posts! Good to see all swimmers have humor! Love your blog, keep doing it.
Oh my gosh thank you so much!!! Glad to know that people actually find me funny

One time I had to swim the 200 free, 200 fly, and 400 IM all twice in one day and that is also the story of when I diED
FASTEST TIME IN THE WORLD 2015
200m Butterfly at Phillips 66 National Championships, CAUSE A 50M POOL IS WHAT YOU NEED TO BE THE BEST!
The Signs as Swimmers During Practice
Aries: Sprints warmup and then dies during the main set. Taurus: Actually knows what the set is. Gemini: Spends the first 15 minutes of every practice talking to the coach just to get out of doing warm up. Cancer: Cries when coach explains main set. Leo: Won't let you go in front, even when you touch their feet. Virgo: Actually finishes each set without cheating Libra: Try's to argue with the coach about the main set. Scorpio: Always the first one in the water. Sagittarius: Actually believes that they are going to make the Olympics. Capricorn: The only one that can keep track of the interval. Aquarius: Floats at the back of the lane during practice but is still really fast. Pisces: Constantly sitting on the wall with some unique excuse.
I'm sorry that I haven't been on in like 6 months but I'll definitely be posting again!!
Whoever decided that the mile or the 400 IM should be events obviously never swam them
i'm a hs freshman who hasn't been near a pool in about four months. i used to be one of the fastest on my swim club (can't remember the exact times though) and someone's suggested for me to try out for the school team. however, my times have gone up A LOT (like, 20 seconds) and i'm not sure if i'll be able to compete with the other girls to get in. i've been running a lot but i didn't have access to a pool for a while. any tips?
You'll get back to those times in no times - just try to get back into the swing of things
i live in a small town and i love it, but our swim team has been small to non-existent for a while. The town next door has a large swim team every year, but i have tried sports over there before, and everyone is better than me. They put so much pressure on sports, but they have an excellent swim team. Should i stay loyal to my home town, or go over there? HELP!
Do whatever will make YOU happy :)
I think a good thing to eat before a meet is puppy chow
👌
I'm a sophomore in high school, and I've only been swimming since 7th grade, so compared to some of the other members on the team, not very long. I got a varsity letter last year, but this year we got a new coach, and she made the standards to earn one much harder. I have to drop 4 seconds on my 100 free, 10 seconds on my 200 free, 10 on my 100 back, and I really wanna finally break a 30 on my 50 free. We only have 5 meets left. WHAT DO I DO!!
5 meets is plenty!!! Just work hard now remember to stay relaxed when youre at meets because trust me it helps
Hello! I'm also a Swimming Blog... focusing on the lovely Sport of Swimming. Could I get a Shout Out? I'd love to have more Followers. Nice Blog! Love, Evie
^^
How can I improve on my freestyle? I tried moving my arms faster but I always tend to slow down around half a lap due to lack of strength and stamina
It's more important to really catch the water and have powerful relaxed strokes than having a fast recovery
I hate warm ups what do I do?
I think this epitomizes every swimmer
HEY IM NEW AND I JUST DID MY FIRST 200 AND I PLACED FIRST IN MY HEAT AND SEVENTH OVERALL. Sorry I was just really excited and wanted to freak out about it on the internet 😊
