❝I’ve only had two!❞ professed Natsuya, downing his third cup of warm cider for the evening. Just enough to generate a pleasant buzz in preparation for the spooky activities about to take place and hopefully not care about making a fool of himself around the inevitable jump scares waiting for him behind those tall hedges. 

❝Relax, I can handle it.❞ 

          He appeased Sousuke’s suspicions with a vigorous succession of pats against his back before a mitten sheathed hand found its final purchase atop the other’s shoulder--An aid with staying balanced!

❝So you’ up for that haunted corn maze I mentioned? There’s a prize for whichever team beats it the quickest...❞

❝ Hold it right there, don’t move. ❞

          Barking orders from behind a Halloween pumpkin more than twice the size of his own head, Natsuya made speedy work of gutting its bright orange intestines from a hole carved into the top. Reclining in his seat, the knife clasped in his hand is held up and used to frame Haru’s face with from afar, feeling the muse charge through his body at the sight of such a sulky expression!

❝ Yes perfect, keep pulling that face it’ll scare kids for miles around! ❞

❝Hey neighbour, how’s it going?❞

          Natsuya greeted from halfway down the hall, pace accelerating into a brisk walk as soon as he spotted the unsuspecting young man, one hand thrust high up in a friendly wave while the other was bogged down by a bag heaving with Halloween knick knacks. Decorations and the likes were always much, much cheaper when purchased right on the cusp, he found.

❝I picked up a tonne of Halloween decorations and it’s way too much for just my place, want me to help decorate yours? ❞

          Grin spanning from ear to ear, Natsuya awaited a response without regard for the fact he was almost inviting himself around a perfect stranger’s house. In his defence, boredom settled pretty quickly without a social life, he needed a fresh new batch of friends, and soon.
