She eyed the brunette, cocking a brow with a light grin.

"Talk about the understatement of the century, aha~! A ‘beauty’ like me is more than capable of holding down a few tarnished bits. Hell, I’d bet lil’ Akane would probably /kill/ to get her grubby little hands on something like this!"

She gestures her hand many inches below her stature in perpendicular form, conveying the image of Akane’s past entity.

He raised his brow, his attention grabbed by her motioning a little lower, as if it was an excuse to take a glance at her body. However, he kept it to himself, looking back up at her when she finished her hand movements. At least he was classy enough not to keep staring. Besides, being a shortie, he had an advantage looking up, anyway. "Hmm, you're right. Beauty isn't the right word for you," He grinned a little, but didn't go on. He certainly was thinking of better words that fit her that would rather go unsaid.

"Well, it's nice to meet you," He said politely, putting the now empty tray on the counter when he finished dumping the chefs burnt failures. "i'm Teruteru Hanamura!" He fixed his hair a little, looking proud. "The one and only."

The scent of food was enough for this hefty eater to send her into a frantic search. Nose in the air, she easily picked up on its trail sending Owari into a sprint. Just what was this glorious smell? School-mandatory cafeteria sessions were certainly not of this hour, that much was she aware. Overwhelmed by the thought of food, she skidded on her heels confronting the tiny chef.

"..I smell food."

The chef was just about to head to the trashcan before he was interrupted, jumping a little as a girl seemed to appear out of no where. He had been completely alone in the kitchen, which was one of the first things he looked for in Hope's Peak after he found his room and all that. From what he saw, it wasn't used all that often. Besides the fridge and microwave, everything else seemed barely touched. And he had to fix that.

But, anyway, back to the hungry looking girl. ...The kind of cute girl, actually. Hello.

"Oh-- yes!" He wasn't sure what else to say, really. He was caught with something burnt. However, he quickly tried to pick himself up from his little fumble. "Are you hungry?" He asked with a kind of chipper tone that could be mistaken as either kindness or flirtatious -- the line between the two was blurred. "i was just about to cook something else! ...Uh, not this," He glanced down at his burnt tray. "Nobody could eat this. And there's no way i'd serve a beauty like yourself something like this..."

This was a rare occasion -- one that didnt happen usually, if at all! But there Teruteru was, the Super high school level chef of all people, cursing to himself as he tried to pull a hot cookie sheet out of the oven. The scent of something burnt filling the air. What a fool he was -- he got distracted. Just for a few minutes, that was it! Well, that's what you get! he thought to himself, putting the sheet on the counter and wiping his hands on his apron. it was embarrassing. He looked around to make sure no one was watching, glancing over at the poor black something-or-other he was trying to make.

His poor food. No treat deserved to be thrown away. it was just such a waste! But there was no way he could eat this, and there was no way he was going to serve it to anyone, either. That would just be... wrong. So wrong. He stood in front of the counter as he waited for the sheet to cool so that he could properly handle it and move it to the trash. He'd have to start all over again. Not only a waste of food, but a waste of time.
