my take is not only the communism angle but also the powers. they saw him do that and opted to hand him over to the government because it was above their paygrade/terrifying beyond the red scare propaganda they were exposed to

in the backlog of older fan works and not gonna lie it’s pretty upsetting whenever someone calls Allison “spoiled.” Just. I can maybe understand it the barest amount in the context of her power, like “she was encouraged to use it when interacting with civilians all the time to the point where she’s unprepared to stop using it and still get them to do something she wants”, kinda like how Viktor’s pills were technically a crutch in that he never had to “deal” with more intense emotions, but still in both cases it’s an easier way out initially (especially for Reggie) that fucks them up later on. But even still I don’t think that’s always the meaning people are going with when they say that and so im mad every time. That is a child who was abused like the rest of them getting called spoiled. For what?

okay I will also admit I’m not sure how much people are pulling from like. Their room provisions. But Also Also I have no idea how they got those things. Did they get them in missions? From fans? Like I just have a really hard time believing Reggie got them or approved any room posters I have a feeling it would have been like. Pogo. And in that case I hardly believe he didn’t treat the kids equally, nor that allison was completely successful in controlling him via the rumor. yes i know about that line in s1 and the cut line. it's still fuzzy to me because. well. alien.

lilastuff....here are a bunch of things i didn't end up putting into the real thing

gross old attempt at a thumbnail that im not using

sketch of a shot i ended up doing at another angle because tbh i have no idea how lila was supposed to sit on this couch

shot i ended up replacing/splitting in two because i needed a match cut with five's face but both these photos are way too small.

also replaced this with something else because i needed lila to be standing up straight with her shoulders turned to the right for this shot

a shot that is techincally in the animatic but it's always kinda blurred/busy so it's not visible the 743 i put in here to reference. y'know the "murder lila's parents" order

also techincally in the animatic but diego is blocking most of everyone's expressions + all of klaus so in the animatic no one gets to see his :3

this shot is arguably the most In the animatic shot there is, but i never actually used this one even though i really wanted these expressions for both lila and diego. it just didn't fit in with the timing of the music for that part.
