I can be your hero, baby

An Allison/Viktor drabble for @vanyahargreaves for @harcest-month! Hope you enjoy!

"Just let her go, please. I don't want to hurt you…" Viktor holds out his hands in a placating gesture.

The man scoffs, holding a switchblade knife to Allison's throat. "You? Hurt me? That's real cute."

The man presses the blade more against her skin, causing just a sliver of blood to drip down her neck. Viktor clenches his fists together, eyes starting to glow as he stares the man down. Nobody hurts Allison, not on his watch.

"I heard a rumor… that you stabbed yourself in the leg."

The man's eyes cloud over as his hold loosens on Allison, and he holds the knife in front of his face, stares at it for a second, then promptly stabs himself in the thigh, letting out a howl of pain. Allison punches him in the face, sending him toppling to the ground, groaning and holding his leg.

Viktor looks at Allison, glad she isn't seriously hurt. "Guess you didn't need my help after all."

"You distracted him for me," Allison grins, walking up to him as if she hadn't just been jumped by a random mugger. She leans down closer to him, face mere inches from him, and he really hopes he isn't blushing.

He reaches up to wipe the trickle of blood from her skin, frowning. Visions of his sister's throat being slashed by his own hand flash in his mind, and his heart hurts. He could never let that happen to Allison again. He'd do anything to make sure she'd never be hurt again.

There's movement behind Allison and the man rises to his feet, pulling the knife from his own leg. Viktor's eyes glow and he raises a hand, hitting the man with a blast of energy that sends him flying back into a car.

Allison turns her head to look at the man, groaning and practically motionless, giving up on trying again. She looks back at Viktor with a playful smile.

"You just couldn't resist being my hero, could you?"

Viktor shrugs sheepishly. "Maybe I like being your hero."

Allison grabs the collar of his jacket and leans down, pulling him in for a kiss. He can't help but rest his hand on her waist, hoping she can't hear the sound of his heart beating fast in his chest. She breaks the kiss, licking her lips and smiling wide at him.

"Maybe I like it, too."

If I were Viktor, I wouldn't believe Reginald's words about how proud he is of him. Considering his experience with Klaus and Luther last season, his words aren't worth much.

Viktor is irritated by Reginald's classical music and prefers country music because he has bad memories of the violin and good memories of the farm with Sissy

Viktor: No, it's your fault!

Actually, it's Abigail's fault, if we're looking for someone to blame.
