Kate Kane intro
Born 26 January 1992, in Gotham, Katherine Rebecca Kane is daughter of Jacob and Gabi Kane, twin sister to Elizabeth âBethâ Kane, cousin to Bruce Wayne and niece to Martha and Thomas Wayne. Their parents were both in the military and Kate, they were like Jacob, cold, stubborn, blunt, but Beth, Beth was like their mother, kindhearted, loyal. One day, on their bat mitzvah, after being given their birth stone in a necklace, a ruby, Katherine, Elizabeth and Gabi Kane, were in a car crash, Kate was the only one of the three to survive. Their mother was dead and despite being able to get out of the car after it was hanging over Gotham river, she reached for Beth, but before she could rescue her, the car dropped and Beth was assumed dead ever since.
After the death of his wife and daughter, remarried a woman by the name of Catherine Hamilton, she and her daughter, Mary Hamilton, became the new members of the Kane family and so became the Kane-Hamilton family. Kate never gave up, she had a tiny hope that her sister was alive and one day, Jacob got a call from Beth, telling them she was alive, unfortunately when they tracked the call, they didnât find anyone, didnât find... her. Soon, the searches got smaller and less and less people helped them look for Beth, until finally it came to a stop when bones were found in a field, seemingly belonging to Beth Kane, little did they know Catherine had lied and faked the DNA, to spare Jacob and mostly Kate of the pain of never being able to find their sister ever again.
At school, Kate was smart but she wasnât the smartest, but she was also someone who was brave, brave enough to stand up for herself when a boy said they were gay, her response was, âyeah I am,â from that day on Kate vowed to herself never to let being gay stop her from being who she was meant to be.
Like her father, Katherine joined the navy and had a relationship with Sophie Moore, but this relationship... backfired, she and Sophie were caught kissing unbeknownst to them and while they were told to either deny their sexuality or to get discharged and despite it was meant to be that they would do this together, Katherine was the only one who was dishonourably discharged from the military for not signing the âdonât ask, donât tellâ policy agreement.
Ashamed of this, Jacob forced Katherine to go work with the best men and women out there, by putting her on a plane, so he didnât have to be ashamed of them. This was in hopes that one day she would be able to join his security agency. Fortunately for Kate, she knew sheâd never be good enough and even five years later when she was getting ready to go to the next place, she decided to change her mind and go to luxe. Now at Luxe they are a business student, wanting to start their own real estate company as well as open a gay bar somewhere, so that people can express themselves and not be ashamed of who they are.
