What if it has the ability "Pickup" and whenever you go into a big area of tall grass and you have a slot open in your party you get a random egg, the Pokemon inside the egg would be Pokemon that are rare (because of Chansey's rarity in the wild) but when you have an egg in your party that isn't from the Chansey's Pickup and you have a full party with Chansey in it, the egg will disappear and the Chansey suddenly has an item that corresponds to the type of Pokemon (like for Machop, you would get a Muscle Band).
