The SWTOR fics we will cherish

Looks like the blog of the wonderful MoistireFarmer is no more. Not a big surprise, given that it was the best fic collection of SWTOR shmut (someone would’ve reported that eventually) I’ve come across. Some gen fics too, but come on, that’s not why we were there for. Rare pairings, short to mid sizes, mostly female-centric POV ranging from fluff to some pretty sick stuff. Mostly base game’s characters but oh well. Hope the author won’t be mad with me for sharing those. I only managed to tag about two thirds of the pairings. Guess you’ll have to look inside for the rest, sorry.

vidyagame doodles: Traditional Edition featuring my Imperial Agent, a man who will DEFINITELY not be murdered by his allies because the stress is gonna kill him first.

i LOVE the pc voice actor. what a fantastic deadpan.

did not expect to get along with Kaliyo as well as I did. she a garbage-fire, but she’s OUR garbage-fire.

the game struck a balance by giving me fewer unavoidable Flirt Options but also assuming i took ALL OF THEM ANYWAY

Hunter was just the fucking worst but what a fun antagonist.

gonna file darths Jadus and Zhorrid in with Tarro Blood as ‘PEOPLE I REALLY THOUGHT WOULD BE A BIGGER DEAL’

also did not expect to rocket up to BFF status with Scorpio but i just love listening to her voice so that’s cool

anyway great campaign, very intense, spent a large amount of time lying on the floor, probably have permanent brain damage. NOT NECESSARILY helpful for my inherent assumption that every friendly NPC is gonna sell me out at the earliest opportunity. Stayed up way too late several nights in a row.

racing at top speed through the rest of kotfe/et with my bounty hunter, consular, and @distastepeddler ‘s smuggler before the may 3 update!

which means i get to complain about chapter twelve all over again 

anyway this is my first time being a republic outlander and

it really doesn’t make a difference at all

the stint with Acina is totally unchanged and i am SO SURE that i should be able to come up with a better reason for rejecting the empire as allies then “hmmmmm. don’t trust em.”

gotta love the republic afterward being like “well not sure what that means but fuck the alliance anyway not sure where their loyalties lie”

consular is honestly the most frustrating run yet because aaaalll i can think of is being a baby-jedi on taris obliterating steel doors but now it’s ‘oh nooo we’ve been cut off by an impassable obstacle gotta go around hope we make it in time! :( :(’

also the dialogue choices still suck

i think we can polish this all off over the next couple of evenings and then we’re all set to reunite with some friends and space-spouses!

i got roped into the Torian romance while replaying the BH campaign so i rolled with it but it felt really weird because the first time round i was privy to all the Torian/Mako gossip and now there’s just… a lot less Mako in my life instead. 

so i imagine all those “Hey Can I Date Your Friend” conversations happened between them instead.

ALSO my sister and i have been discussing recently how much dialogue and interaction is coloured by character customisation (e.g. “this banter would be super gross if my dude looked more threatening than he does”) and this is definitely one of those instances where if i had picked a sliiightly different appearance i would be spiraling off into a annoyed flurry of “what metric are we basing this on? why would this grubby mandalorian dude care about “prettiness” in the first place? what value is placed on physical appearance in mandalorian culture? and-” but BECAUSE i’m playing a six foot tall death machine in a snappy coat who does in fact look good as hell it’s much more palatable.

anyway it’s great that Torian’s post-campaign emails go:

in the Beefchunk Brigade 2.0 i get to be the tall one

i gripe about Malavai a lot but he is one of the two entire people i hang out with on the warrior-crew

very nearly missed that line he had on the way to Rishi but there’s absolutely no way Vette would have

have i mentioned i would die for Vette?

IMO the two extremes of SoR hilarity are playing either the dumbest smuggler in the world or the most over-the-top goth sith lord

the lady VAs for the warrior and inquisitor are both great but the inquisitor is so fun it’s almost tempting me to go through that campaign again

almost.

despite appearances my sister’s inquisitor is The Most Lightside.

HEY RAINA’S BACK!

i liked Copero visually- i was a real sucker for that snow/tropical combo on Belsavis too 

obviously the agent gets a bit more out of this whole thing, but i was surprised they didn’t throw in any acknowledgements of the Theron romance

my sister and i explored all three options for dealing with Zenta in short order and there’s REALLY NO WAY TO WIN, IS THERE?

hey i don’t think Lana is Okay!

on a related note what do you think the odds are of them asking us to choose between Lana and Theron at the end of all this? part of me’s like “oh no they’re not gonna write off such a popular pair like that” but it’s not as if there isn’t precedent here

i remember from the fall17 roadmap that this chapter’s supposed to wrap up early this year in a flashpoint? i wonder what counts as a “chapter” because that’s either gonna be real rushed or a looooooong-ass flashpoint

been giving the Jedi Knight campaign another shot lately! skimming over a lot of the parts that bug me and thinking more thoroughly about the rest of the story, trying to pick up on stuff i missed. my plan is to skip this gal straight to Ossus when the option becomes available. overall? having a pretty good time!

Very Brief Bounty Hunter Makeb Chronicles, brought to you by Torian’s unexpectedly chipper line reads and the fact that I’ve been avoiding the flirt mechanic so hard I genuinely don’t know how it works and briefly got stressed out by the thought of making my working relationship with an NPC awkward.

also did any of y’all get the sense Mako was supposed to have some lines or something in the beginning and end cutscenes that didn’t make it in? ‘cause she just mills around in dead silence and like..

finally taking a republic character through the post-campaign content, it’s BARSEN’THOR TIME (yeah it’s…. taken me a while.)

Makeb was fun! loved the ark and the maps but the support team wasn’t nearly as endearing as the imp side.

man Theron has an even more miserable time on this end i swear

how did i end up drawing Theron so much anyway he’s… actually kinda hard to draw.

(i say, fully planning to continue doing so)

we learned some additional terrible things about Lana.

BOY do i LOVE Jedi Code Drama! it’s always good and well-written and makes sense!

but for trying to beat me over the head with Emotion Conundrums so much this game sure isn’t great about actually letting you play a character dispassionately, especially in the kotet/fe stuff!

that can be said for a lot of the classes but it stands out especially whenever they try and ~confront my jedi commitment~ and proceed to give me terrible nonsense dialogue options in response

ALTHOUGH i think the lady-consular might have my favourite expansion VA performance so far

i refuse to put even a modicum of detail or effort into Valkorion’s getup.

(also i’ve had some inquiries about my process/tools for making these comics lately so i’ll be putting up a speedpaint of that last panel. it’s… not an elegant process i gotta warn you)

Makeb was really great! With a lot of touching npc =) (especially the Cathar, who seemed too big for his tiny uniform).
