“Maybe if you hadn’t set your friends on him, you’d be able to talk. He needs to go to the fucking hospital, sooner than later, and all you’re doing is slowing it down.” Isaac shoved Malcolm out of the way, “Stay the fuck away from him and don’t make me run your ass over,” he glared at the other boy as he closed Christian’s door and began to move around the car to the driver’s seat.

Christian watched the two boys as they argued, hoping that they didn’t come to blows. e could see the both of them getting more angry and frustrated and when Isaac shoved Malcolm he didn’t even realize he was holding his breath until he let out a shaky breath when the diver looked over at him but kept his distance. He could tell Malcolm was trying to silently plead with him but all her could do was look away and shake his head. “Thanks for standing up for me Isaac.”

Isaac glared at Malcolm, he had never met him, but if he didn’t like him before he definitely didn’t like him now. “You’ve done enough, kid, why don’t you go the fuck away?” he snarled, moving past him to gently set Christian down in the passenger seat of the car. He buckled his seatbelt carefully, turning back towards Malcolm, “You’re fucking lucky that the cops aren’t on their way right now. Go anywhere near him again and I’ll destroy you’re entire career.”

Malcolm ignored Isaac and continued trying to get Christian’s attention. Christian being the sweet and believing person he was, he wanted to believe Malcolm but regardless it was his friends getting their revenge for the diver. He just looked away as Malcolm glared at Isaac. “I don’t know who you are and I don’t care, I just need to see Christian” the diver spat.

“You’ve got to go to the hospital, sweetheart,” he said quietly, looking at the blood covering the other boy’s body. “You could have all kinds of internal injuries, you gotta get checked out.” He sighed, so incredibly angry that this was happening, that Christian was in pain- that he was embarrassed. He scooped the other boy up carefully, cradling him in his arms as he headed for the car.

Christian feebly shook his head not wanting to go to the hospital. He didn’t want to worry his parents as well as hospitals freaked him out. He knew it was an irrational fear and it would be stupid of him not to go to the hospital for the very reasons Isaac pointed out. He felt himself be picked up and carried as he heard another car pull up, “Christian!” He knew that voice and it honestly terrified. He couldn’t take a second go at this. “Christian I’m so sorry, I swear I didn’t know,” Malcolm claimed as he approached the two.

Isaac was seeing red, and he was fully ready to tear apart each and every one of the guys who had laid a finger on his best guy when he heard his voice behind him. He pushed the attackers out of the way to get to Christian, kneeling down next to him, “Get the fuck out of here before I murder all of you,” he spat at them before turning towards Christian, “Hey, hey, you’re gonna be alright.”

Christian didn’t want Isaac to get hurt because of him but he did find it incredibly sweet how he came to his rescue. “You came...,” he trailed off almost not believing that he was actually there. It almost felt like he was just daydreaming that the assault on his body was actually stopped. “Can you....can you just take me hope? I just want to go to take a shower and go to sleep.” He felt so humiliated and knew when it was time to go back to school it would only get worse. They were going to make his life hell until he graduated.

Isaac was working on his GED homework, enjoying a quiet night to himself. He’d been doing really good, but Christian had been on his mind. He hadn’t really seen him, and he wondered how he was doing and if maybe they were ready to take a shot at things again. He saw his phone ringing and picked it up, his smile quickly fading as he heard Christian’s frantic voice. He grabbed the keys and raced to the football field, despite the fact that he wasn’t supposed to be driving. After throwing the car into park he ran down the field, hearing what Malcolm’s friends were saying only infuriated him more as he pushed one of them off of Christian, “What the fuck do you think you’re doing?”

Christian laid there bloodied and battered feeling absolutely ashamed and humiliated as his attackers laughed. His hopes for Isaac or anyone really to come by and help him was quickly fading when he heard the distinct voice of the one guy he knew he could always depend on. He looked up and say Isaac, and felt so grateful. He tried getting up but was pushed back down He honestly wanted to cry but what little bit of dignity he had left stopped him from doing so. “Isaac...”

Christian didn’t understand how or why he was in the situation he was currently in. He received a texts from Malcolm asking him to meet him at the bleachers of their school’s football field. Him being so naive, he did just that unaware that this was a set up by friend’s of his sort of ex-boyfriend to seek revenge on the young genius. It was an ambush and soon he found himself on the ground kicked over and over again as they threw remarks that he never once thought would be thrown his way. He looked up and saw one of the boys with his phone out recording everything. He somehow managed to get up and kick one of the boys in the crotch and run with the group hot on his trails. He didn’t know what to do so he called the first person that came to his mind as he ran. “Isaac please come get me. I’m at my school’s football field. They keep hurting me, please help me ple-,” he tried but was cut off as e was tackled to the ground and continued to get beat. He just hope that Isaac would actually come.
