I have never in my life seen a woman doing something while being prettier / more feminine than me and thought:

That is...bizarre.

Genuinely floored that so many ppl aren't weirded out by this thought process. Is it normal and healthy to change your interest in a non-aesthetic field based on whether or not you can beat the aesthetics of a woman there? Literally trying to imagine being intimidated from studying finance because a female accountant had super long nails and mine are short. Mind-blowing.

It also assumes that all women who wear pink dresses ONLY have pink dresses in their closet. Did they show the girls the pink dress on Monday but the same scientist wearing her pantsuit on Tuesday and the girls miraculously chimed in to say "OH I LIKE MATH AGAIN NOW." I love a good slacks moment. Jeans are my jam. You'll get my athleisure wear when you pry it from my cold dead hand, but I don't become some pillar of regression when I step out in my dresses, skirts, and gowns.
