“okay, i deserved that.” a nod. “and most of that is true except i didn’t get drunk here, in my drunken state i thought what the hell and that walking home would be better… that’s how i ended up here.” she could have left it but this wasn’t her, getting drunk, walking home alone – it wasn’t who she was. “i also didn’t want my friends to be any more worried about me than they probably already are.” that was the truth, she’d decided to walk him so they wouldn’t see her in the state she had been in now. “i smell?” a chuckle escaped her lips as she shook her head, sitting up straight now. “so that means i’m making a great first impression, huh?” her first smile as she glanced up at him, letting out a sigh which wasn’t aimed at him whatsoever and more at herself for being so stupid. “okay, sure. um thanks.” he didn’t have to do this and he was, it might have been nothing to some people but this actually meant a lot to her and it got her butt moving. “how is it even possible to feel this bad?” her one hand rubbing at her face as she slowly stood up, making sure she could steady herself if needs be.
“i know you did,” he said with a slight shrug. “ah, so you had no one to help you back home. what were you doing getting drunk alone anyway?” he asked raising an eyebrow. “did someone hurt your feelings and you decided to get drunk, walk home but not and fall asleep on the bench?” he chuckled softly. he couldn’t help but make fun, it was so easy to. he wanted to know why she did it for. “are you just a drunk and you just do this all the time yourself?” he chuckled softly. he was curious about it, so he continued poking. “why would your friends be worried about you? did you do something?” he asked softly. he sat down on the bench now and looked at her properly. “oh you are,” he laughed “the best first impression i’ve ever seen,” he teased. he stood with her ‘lead the way to your place i’ll walk you,” he said. “because you drank way too much,” he took her hand to help.
