"i was skeptical but even i can admit when i'm wrong. this icecream? probably the best i've ever tasted. now don't let that get to your head." he teased. it almost felt nice to be out doing something as normal as this. without the pressures he was feeling from every other aspect of his life right now. his head was one giant mess so even small, and simple distractions like this one? they helped. "this your go-to place? after we're done here, i can show you mine if you like? it's um, different but it's cool. think you might like it." @moonglowmuses
"oh, believe me. that compliment is going straight to my head and it's not taking any detours." gi-hun's little grin emerged, then. it used to be a more frequent expression, but his circumstances hardened him. he was trying to rediscover the happy-go-lucky personality that he'd lost along the way. but having friendships like this one helped. "yeah. it is for now. but my business might pick up ice cream, too, so my alliances have to switch, as i'm sure that you understand," gi-hun said, half-serious and half-teasing. the chicken shop was successful and that pleased him. he was doing all that he could to work hard. his mother might be proud of this version of him. maybe not, too. "how far away is it?" gi-hun asked curiously. "we could go there now, hm?"
“this is good icecream. maybe it should.” not hiding the smile that seemed to reflect after seeing the smile on gi-hun’s. it was almost contagious and ryan didn’t a little more of that in his life. people that weren’t so directly involved in his family drama. this felt like a much needed break from all that. he was trying not to feel to bad about taking a time out. it would all still be there when he came back to it. “oh sure, man. yeah, makes sense. you know if you ever need any help —?” ryan was working so it wasn’t as though he was desperate. it wasn’t like he could say no to extra cash right now either. “it’s like fifteen minute walk. not far. yeah? you wanna’ do it? im up for that.” @moonglowmuses
