I’m Mephi. I’m just a woman loving Love and Deepspace and wanted to share my opinions on a few things, using this blog! You can find all sorts of topics on this blog and I will be happy to answer any questions you might have! But please keep it civil and respectful.

I’ve discovered LADS a few months ago and I have been loving the game! So I’m glad there’s an active fandom on Twitter (X) and Tumblr for the game.

I won't stop saying it: in fanfic-writing, you make your own rules. Write whatever the fuck you want to write

Sometimes it's that you haven't written that fanfic of that genre yet because you don't have confidence in your writing talents, or you have some learning and improving to do in your writing, or you're afraid of the audience reception.

Sometimes it's also just that the said genre is not for you. Write what you're confident in and what makes you happy. It's okay to leave the rest alone.

Unless you're receiving payment to diversify and to be more creative and to "impress", you have every right to stick to your comfort zone.

Write the same fanfic five times with five different endings. Write one genre of fanfics. Write all genres ever known to man. Write for 75 fandoms. Write for one fandom. Update once a year. Update every hour. Write only 200-chaptered stories. Write only drabbles. Write the tamest stuff. Write the kinkiest stuff(tags exist for a reason). Write different love stories for one character you love. Use the same lines or words.

Do anything and everything as long as you're happy and having fun. If there are too many negative emotions(fear, self-doubt, mental stress, worry, anxiety, overthinking, etc.) attached to your writing, then you're probably taking it too seriously.

Nobody has the right to shake your fanfic-writing peace and make you doubt how great of a writer you are, not even YOURSELF or YOUR READERS. This shit is free and meant to be for fun and relaxation.

I managed to get the Zayne banner + pair:

I wanted to create a timeline of the past events leading up to the present and go along with the story I went/played the game. But this post has by this blog, has been doing a very similar thing I was planning on doing. So, I will either go from this timeline onward, or just make a very similar timeline to how this post did it.

Either way, if this timeline exists, I don't really need to make one myself it seems. Depending on future updates to this timeline, we'll see what happens!

I'm working on creating a full timeline of events so far (in the story that I have reached) and adding to it as I go! I may create a masterlist of it and split it up per love-interest in-game... And keep one master timeline that links back to the individual ones.

It'll be a lot of work, but I'm hopeful I can do it!

So today, I had the fortune of getting SYLUS' SPRING EVENT 5 STAR!

I also reached level 55. But!

I need at least 20/20 converted Sylus 5 star to get the green see-through outfit for this event! Which I won't get in 3 to 4 days! So, I will need to just ... accept defeat.

However!!

My next "target" is Zayne. Because, why not?

Ageism in the LADS community.

I have been playing LOVE AND DEEPSPACE for a while now. I have reached level 54 and I have been enjoying it so far. But what struck me and absolutely seems ridiculous to me, is the ageism within the fandom that's either slowly rearing its head or it was always there. Either way, I have seen many Tweets pop up on my timeline on Twitter (X) and I have to say…

What a bunch of BS!

It's not because a woman reached her late 20s or early 30s, or even reached her mid 40s, that she can't enjoy any hobbies! What I have seen from other people is that the content for LADS is 18+. Which means 12 year olds and anyone else under the age of 18 or above, shouldn't even be playing this game! The content is not for you, clearly! The explicit scenes and audio make that more than clear. If you do decide to download the game and play it, you're responsible for being exposed to all the explicit content. Not the people who basically, so it seems, keeps the game alive because those people (women well over 18) are able to afford passes and to buy all sorts of material in order to get the full story.

I, myself, am F2P for now but I won't sit here and tolerate some teenager or 18 year-old whining about grown women playing a game that is not even catering towards a much younger audience.

Women, grown women with a job, started fandom spaces. It's because of them we now have a wide fandom centered space like Twitter (X), Tumblr and Reddit (to name a few). But to attack those women for their age and the fact they enjoy a game is absolutely RIDICULOUS.

Why don't you grow up instead? Why don't you jsut realise that life doesn't end at 29.

Life didn't end for me! I'm 29 years old and life is still going for me. It didn't end. Neither does it end when I'll turn 30. Why? Because I'll still have my hobbies. I'll still be writing fanfiction, most likely and I will still enjoy Otome gacha games because sometimes I don't want to be faced with the responsibilities of an adult.

Games like LADS offer a way for us all to escape the boring routine of our daily lives. It's like reading a book. It offers us a way to relax and put our feet up. If some teenager is whining about it because god forbid it's a YOUNG ADULT NOVEL, then I will simply tell the teenager: "mind your own business". We all have genres we like in books. We all have games we like and we all consume media daily. So why act like any fandom space should exclude women and men over 18? When fandom spaces were created by people, women, in their 30s. Just mind your own business and let us enjoy our damn game. We're not harming anyone by just enjoying our sexy LADS men and commenting on or reposting a tweet we like.
