Sylvia smiled at the woman in her arms and nodded “I will. It shouldnt be refreshing, it should be normal to you. I dont see why anyone would think about leaving you” She said honestly before nipping at her bottom lip. Returning the kiss she placed her hand on the womans cheek deepening the kiss for a moment “You feel like home” she said placing her forehead against Paxtons. Her words made her exhale a relieved breath. She thought she was going to scare her off with those words, but she stayed. Sylvia noticed the change in temperature in water and chuckled lightly “Should we get out of here and go snuggle?”

Paxton shrugged, “Why would they not want to leave. I don’t really have much to offer. I mean, I party a lot and I work and use people. That’s about the extent of it. I was pretty selfish before I met you.” She shrugged again, “But you saw something me, god knows what that was but for the first time I’m thankful.” Paxton leaned into the woman’s touch. It seemed she was being extremely honest with the girl but after tonight and seeing such young children, it made her realise how short life can be, “I’ve never really felt like I’ve had a complete home. I mean, I’ve had my dad but there’s always a piece missing, pieces, I should say now.” She still didn’t want to give much away about her mom and her brother so she just continued, “But with you, I feel what you feel. That home feeling.” Paxton had lost complete track of the time and looked at her wrinkled fingers, “Definitely. That would be great.”

Sylvia furrowed her brows at the woman ready to argue her point before letting out a soft sigh “Yuo have so much to offer” She said honestly before =kissing her cheek. Seeing her reaction to her words she nodded as she understood. She knew that there was missing pieces when it came to her family, but when she only mentioned her father she questioned about her mom, deciding to just leave it at that “I feel that with you. I just.. I havent felt like this in a really long time, but I love what I feel around you “ She spoke honestly before getting out of the tub leaving her hand out for Paxton to grab, wrapping a towel around herself.

Sylvia rolled her eyes “you’re still full of compliments aren’t you?” she said looking down at her hands in Paxtons. “I’ll always try. It’s the least I can do. What do you want for breakfast in the morning?” she asked kissing her cheek Sylvia knew that Paxtons day was hard and what she saw was something no one should’ve ever had to see “I make it hard? Have you looked in the mirror?” she said curiously. She wasn’t sure what about her made Paxton want to stay, but she was glad.

Paxton nodded “Yeah, I can be. Not as many as you.” She could feel the nervous butterfly feeling in her stomach, something she wasn’t use to. She really liked this girl and it scared her. “You don’t really have to try but I really do appreciate what you’re doing for me.” She thought for a moment, “I want you to surprise me. I’d say nothing but I feel you won’t accept that answer.” Again she kissed her hand, “I have and it’s not that exciting. I mean I’m good looking, I know that.” She grinned at the girl with a smirk. “You do though. You’re beautiful and great and so sweet. You just make me wanna come back,” she shrugged, “It scares me.”

Sylvia smiled and nodded “I can surprise you. And Ill always try. You’re worth at least trying. You need to remember that” She said sweetly and honestly. She couldnt imagine what Paxton was going through, but Sylvia hoped that one of the things she was doing would help, even just a sliver. She kissed the girls cheek and relaxed at the womans words. She makes her want to come back? That was something she hadn’t heard in a while “Instead of coming back, why don’t you just stay.” She said before looking up giving the woman a half smile. She surprised herself with the comment, it was something she didn’t expect to fall out from her own lips, but It was something she needed to say. Her home felt empty without Paxton.

Having Paxton in her arms was something she had missed. It had been a long while since she was this intimate and this up front with someone about her feelings. “Right and you were consistently nice to me even if I was a little harsh. You’re a special one you are.” Everything with Sylvia felt so great. She made her feel so wanted and needed. “Yeah, it’ll be nice. At least he’ll be into sports and stuff too, that’ll be fun.” Paxton nodded, “Obviously it’s gonna be hard but try and I know you will.” The officer took the girl’s hand and kissed it gently, still getting use to expressing her feelings. “It’s okay. I think your hands are pretty impressive. I’m happy that you’re even going to give it a try.” Paxton loved how sweet Sylvia was and she knew she definitely didn’t deserve her in her life. “You make it really hard to stay away from you.”

Paxton’s eyes closed, loving the relaxation she was feeling from the woman. She thought that maybe this wasn’t all that bad. Had she been missing out on something all these years? “Kinda lucky you sent that message that time, huh? Who knew it would have led us here.” She listened to Sylvia as she spoke about her parents. “And I’m sure they’ll let you know.” The kiss brought a smile to her face, “I can help with that. The wildchild part. Paxton smiled at the thought of her young dog, he was all she had. Of course she now had Sylvia but that dog is like her family. “Only when you’re not around. Her hands moving over the womans legs smoothly under the warm water. “I think he loves us both. You more, you’re always the one getting the snuggles” She said warmly to the woman in front of her before squeezing her knees. “Just for me?” She said kissing her neck lightly “I love having you in my arms” She said honestly before placing her lips back to the womans shoulder resting her lips against her skin comfortably. “Im a bit of a messy person. My life, my job, my everything” She said with a shrug “You’re very put together”

When Paxton moved, Sylvia wrapped her arms around her waist pulling her into her own body. Listening to the words she nuzzled her head into her shoulder. It was work. It was something Paxton couldnt stop. Sylvia squeezed the woman before placing a small kiss on her skin “people are selfish… It’s hard because I can’t imagine.. But some people are just selfish. And don’t think of anyone else.” she spoke softly. She couldn’t imagine the scene she saw but she was there to comfort her. “I wish there was something I could say that could make this okay.”

“I can do that.” Paxton couldn’t help but try and hide the smile on her face. She had one of the sexiest women she had ever met all to herself. The small gestures were all the more comforting. Pax knew that Sylvia would always be there for her and she’d like to hope she would be able to return the favour. She listened to the woman’s words. It was the only explanation. Through work she knew she would have to see a physiologist. What worried her more was that professional would dig more into her background that she didn’t want people to know. “I just keep seeing it in my head. It just doesn’t stop. I don’t want it to be the last thing I see in my head before I go to sleep.” She leaned back into the woman, lacing their fingers together, “Can I stay here with you for a couple of nights?”

Sylvia squeezed her hand as her fingers laced in her own "you are welcome to stay here as long as you want" she kissed her cheek lightly before leaving a small trail down her neck and shoulder. "we can go get Lou too so he's not alone." she mumbled against the woman's skin wanting to give her as much comfort as possible " though, I do have one requirement" she said looking at the girl "that I get to be the big spoon at least for one night" her voice serious but the smile on her face showed that she was hoping to see it returned. She wanted to hold the woman forever and take away any bad in her life.

At the woman’s words she nodded “I’m not good with relationships either..” she said honestly before biting her lip “ do we just want to be exclusive? No labels, but you’re my person?” she suggested “I don’t know how to do this anymore honestly” she said before placing her head against Paxtons. She could see the pain on her face. She wanted to make the woman feel better and she knew physical touch was good for the brunette. “honey..” she paused before sighing “how can I help. I hate seeing this pain in your eyes you got off shift early and I know you probably don’t want to talk about it, but tell me what will help.” she said honestly bringing one hand to cup her cheek “is this helping at all?”

Paxton let out a small chuckled as the woman shoved her shoulder. Upon hearing the explanation she nodded, surely they could do something right between them. The thought of being in a relationship was something that scared Paxton. It was a lot of commitment. Something she wasn’t use to. “You mean no official labels but we only fuck each other kinda thing?” Paxton kissed the girl’s nose as she came closer. “We’ll work it out, yeah? We managed to do alright this far.” Paxton read the girl’s face as she spoke. Did she want to bear the woman with what she had seen? The fact that she wanted to help her more anything meant so much. Paxton let go of the woman and turned around in the bath and sat herself between Sylvia’s legs, leaning back up against her. All their talk had taken some pressure off her. She stayed quiet before she spoke out, “There was so much blood..and they were so tiny..I- I couldn’t do anything to save them. They were just babies.” It all fell out. Just more lives she couldn’t save. “How could anyone do that to their own children..It’s fucked, hermosa. So fucked.” Immediately she felt relief wash over her, just from getting those couple of sentences off her chest.

It just wasnt right” She said before watching her kiss her hand. She felt her heart stop when she mentioned that she felt jealous. She cupped the womans cheeks and pressed a long kiss to her lips, full of passion and emotion “I think together we could make a pretty good person” She said honestly, not above a whisper. She tucked a piece of hair behind Paxtons ear before pulling back slightly “ So what does this mean.. For us?” She asked cocking her head to the side slightly looking at the womas lap she sat in. The warm water comforting, but more comforting was the womans warmth and body against her own.

Paxton could only nod, she’d never felt such a connection with anyone. “That means something to me, so thanks.” The officer couldn’t believe that she admitted she was jealous out loud. It was true though, she wanted to be the only person to make Sylvia feel good. To feel alive and wanted. Paxton immediately returned the kiss, not being able to hold back anymore. “I think it’s a little too soon to be talking about making a person, I’m not really good with kids.” Her words slowly drowned out and the images of the night ran through her head. Paxton watched the girl closely, curiously. As soon as Sylvia began to ramble about how she had feelings for her, Paxton could only just sit there. Her mind racing a million miles an hour. Who was Sylvia to tell her what she deserved. Paxton felt as if she deserved nothing. That she was lucky to have what she did. Her heart rate picked up with the nerves, the butterfly feeling that she wasn’t use to. Paxton took hold of the girl’s legs and pulled her as close as she could to her. She leaned in and kissed her lips, just to try and calm the girl down. Everything that Sylvia shared, Paxton felt. She understood how scary it is to admit that you have feelings for someone. “We’re one hell of a fucked up match, huh?” Paxton took the girl’s hands, “It’s not stupid. I’m kinda glad you left, I should have done better with my hickey placement.” She kissed the girl’s hand, “The thought of you flirting with someone else makes me jealous. Even the slightest touch of Sylvia’s hands on her body gave her goosebumps. She nodded at the woman’s words and looked over at the bath. Paxton watched with a small smile as the water changed colour in front of her eyes. Paxton helped Sylvia into the bath by holding her hand until she was settled in the water. Paxton moved into the bath once all her clothes were completely removed. Thoughts raced through her mind. Thoughts of how nice this felt. She wondered if she had been missing out on something. Maybe Sylvia was worth the wait. Worth a chance. Did she feel that she was deserving of happiness. Paxton was pulled from her thoughts by Sylvia’s sweet voice. The officer immediately looked up, their eyes locking. She could tell that Sylvia’s words were honest. The hitch in her breath really made Paxton realise how much she meant it. She knew the feeling. She could relate. “I know the feeling.” Her eyes darted around the woman’s face. “Can I ask you why?”

At Paxtons question she bit her lip and looked away before over at the woman once again. “You just.. “ She shook her head “Don’t worry about it” She stopped before bringing her legs up to her chest. She was quiet before bringing her chin to rest on the top of her knees looking at the girl in front of her taking in the view. She looked exhausted, and defeated. She knew something had to have happened at work the evening, but she wasn’t going to pry. She was going to be there for her, as much as she could be. “I have feelings for you and it scares the shit out of because you deserve so much better than this, than me. I’m really fucked up and you have so many amazing things going for you and I don’t want to ruin that and I’m just not this amazing person you think I am. I’m fucked up, I’m broken. I’m just too much for people to handle and somehow, I got attached to you. I went to the bar the other night and this girl was flirting with me and I got uncomfortable and left. I felt like I was cheating it was stupid and all I wanted was to come home to you” She said honestly, blurting out words as if she had been holding her breath.

Paxton continued to follow the woman through to the bathroom quietly. She glanced down at the bath bombs in front of her and chuckled. It was so Sylvia. The woman was extremely sexy and on the other hand she was just as goofy. Paxton saw the dinosaurs and grinned, she loved the Jurassic Park movies and immediately picked one up. The officer watched in awe of the woman as she began to undress. Without realising she took a step closer and helped remove the woman’s clothing. Nothing sexual about it. Just sweet and sensual. The woman’s words took her by surprised. “I can’t have you getting cold.” Paxton pressed her lips to the woman’s forehead. Her eyes never left Sylvia’s body as she continued to take her clothes off.

Paxton took a step back and began to take her own clothes off. A reminder of what she had been through earlier in the night. She could feel herself becoming far too comfortable around Sylvia. It scared her. A lot. She leaned over and turned on the taps to fill the bath. Once again she found herself with her lips pressed up against Sylvia’s, kissing her softly. She just couldn’t get enough of the comfort that Sylvia gave her.

Sylvia smiled letting her body press against patons, her eyes fluttering shut as she pressed her arms lips to her forehead “I mean, that just means I’ll take advantage of tonight” She said sweetly before helping the woman with her belt. Watching her fill the bath she leaned against the sink watching her. Paxtons body was something she admired. Adored in art, and things she loved but so simple. Feeling her lips press against hers once again she smiled against hers before returning the kiss, her hands falling against her bare skin

“We should get into the bath” She said with a small chuckle before placing the bath bomb that paxton picked out into the water before sliding in. As the bath water started to change color Sylvia looked at paxton across from her and gave her a small smile “You fucking terrify me” She mentioned letting her breathing hitch as she locked eyes with the woman across from her. She was being honest, she was letting her walls fall. She could almost hear the crash of the concrete on the ground.

It scared her to think that she could possibly fuck up Sylvia’s trust in her because that was the last thing she would want, “I appreciate it. I’ll be your person or whatever you need here.” She knew what it was like to be alone and she knew Sylvia didn’t deserve that feeling.

Paxton raised an eyebrow, she didn’t know much about bath bombs but Sylvia seemed pretty keen on them. Again, she shrugged, she had no idea, “Does both work or is that not a thing?” She couldn’t help but give the woman a small smile in comfort, this was exactly what she needed. Paxton stopped Sylvia in her tracks and kissed her again. A gentle, sweet kiss. Her hand came to cup the woman’s face before she pulled away and gestured for the woman to continue to the bathroom. “You’re the best. Thanks for this.”

“Just like I’ll be your person. For as long as you want me” She said with a warm smile squeezing the womans hand. Sylvia smiled at her suggestion and chuckled “Yeah, that could work, but you have to pick out what color bath bomb you want to use” She said before nodding towards the bathroom. Feeling her stop her, she wrapped her arms around the womans waist, pulling her close in the kiss “Your lips..” She mumbled against them with a warm smile before moving towards the bathroom.

Once in the bathroom she pulled out a large container of bath bombs, every color imaginable “Pick one! Some of them have little fortunes in them and others have dinosaurs.. Judge me” She said before looking over her shoulder winking at the woman she turned on the hot water starting to fill the bath. Sylvia started to take off the simple clothing she was wearing “Im glad to have you here. Sleeping without you is getting cold. “ She mentioned sledding a layer a bit. She had been meaning to tell her how comfortable she had gotten. Paxton had started to peel away the hardened layers, only to reveal some softer layers under her hardened exterior.

Sylvia smiled at the woman’s words “you’re always welcome. Though I do have a key for you. My moms always told me to give people you trust a spare key to your home. So I suppose you wouldn’t need to wake me” her words were followed by a smile and a nod before leading the woman up to her room

“do you want some more comfortable clothes?” she asked turning to Paxton tucking a piece of her hair behind her ear “shit I’m sorry” she said before pressing a kiss to the woman’s lips “I realized I hadn’t kissed you yet and that’s fucked up” she said hoping to get a smile out of the woman.

The words that fell out of Sylvia’s mouth was enough to bring her out of her head for a couple of minutes. She was going to get a key? Wasn’t that a little forward? Had she done something significant to get a key. Paxton shook her head to stop the questions, “Are you sure? I mean, do you really trust me that much?” Paxton gave Sylvia’s hand a small squeeze as she followed behind her to her room. A place she had become quite familiar to.

Paxton looked down at her uniform and nodded. She was glad that Sylvia seemed to do most of the talking, it made her feel a little more comfortable. The feeling of her lips on Sylvia’s kicked her body into gear and she immediately kissed her back. It was almost a release. Her arms found their way behind Sylvia’s neck. The words that followed cause Paxton to smile sadly, “You’re cute, you know that? You’re right though, s’pretty fucked up.” Paxton kissed her again lightly, “Wanna share a bath?”

Sylvia nodded " I mean, if an emergency happened I think you'd be the one to find me dead here anyway. I don't have many people. Here" she admitted. With a shrug before looking at the woman. She was nervous because she might have spooked the woman in front of her but it was true, she had a key for her because she trusts her.

Sylvia enjoyed the feeling of her arms around her neck and smiled against the soft lips that had been pressed firmly against her own. At the mention of a bath Sylvia arched a brow "that sounds amazing. I have bath bombs.. Or just Epsom salts that are good for sore muscles?" she suggested shrugging "we can do anythin" she told the woman wrapping her arms around her waist. She could tell Paxton was in need of some loving. She knew something happened.
