“The last few months have been, like, haywire, my dudes; we’ve been getting the ship, like, back into full working order. I ain’t gonna get into it now, it’s like, super technical, but basically we’re open again after a six month refit and to celebrate I’m hosting another VIP open night!”

“The lounge is open for like, anyone, for movies an’ relaxin’ an’ stuff, an’ if you behave you might even get a full-time VIP pass!”

  So my muse for Naps came crashing back recently and Tabby forgot to hold her usual movie night last night so I thought I’d step up and run tonight’s show~

His initial reaction was to panic the second he was lifted off the ground, immediately squirming in the other’s hold. When he realized he wasn’t in any danger, and the one who had picked him up was just that blue ‘bot he met the other day, he calmed down–just a little bit.

“ I–.. o-oh-… hh..hello-… “

Okay, maybe that hadn’t been such a good idea. Of course it hadn’t been such a good idea. What had he been thinking? The other bot had just seemed kind of down, and being the impulsive robot he is, he’d decided to give him a hug - which, of course, meant lifting him up too. Although it was good to know his arms could lift that kind of weight. He’s pretty weak compared to other bots, having very little metal in him. 

“Uh… Sorry.” He puts the other bot down and steps back with a sheepish grin. “You just looked like you needed cheering up.”

He quickly turns around, a cherry red blush spreading across his face. H-He hadn’t meant to react like that, it was just instinctive at this point. He anxiously pulled at his gloves, shifting lightly as he shyly looked down at his boots.

☢ : Describe a thought or dream that would cause them to have a mental meltdown.

Besides the nightmares, that contain snatches of past resets, where every terrible action he witnesses gets twisted and thrown out of proportion? Where his brothers dust blows on the wind, along with the hopes and dreams and silent screams of everyone he ever knew and loved?

...... nah.

✏ : What are their creative outlets?

He doesn’t really do much, creative wise. He helped his brother with his royal guard costume, and he can sew, and knit. but recently he just.... spends his time sleeping.

Are you guys planning to eventually have the whole main cast?

((Eventually! We’re certainly going to try. There are four muns on the blog, soon to be five and maybe even six! With two characters each that’s more than enough for the main cast; although a couple of us are a little too busy to have more than one character.

We’ll see where it goes! We definitely hope so, though; it’s something to aim for!))

☛ : What is their typical response to being given orders?

It depends. If it’s Undyne, he’d follow the orders without question; he’s used to being bossed around by her, and he trusts her with his SOUL. Anyone else.... You better be prepared for him to question you. And even then, if you’re not polite about it he’s not having any of it. Bark orders at him and you’ll just get a sarcastic response.

☾ : On a sleepless night, what would they be found doing?

Technically, he doesn’t get sleepless nights. He’s a robot; if he decides to power down, that’s it for the next . 

But if he doesn’t feel like sleeping, you’ll probably find him behind the club, on the edge of the rocky plateau it’s built on, playing his guitar to the starry expanse.

♆ : Are they prone to violent outbursts or thoughts?

Papyrus and violence don’t belong in the same sentence. He’s the opposite of violent; any dispute is more likely to be talked out rather than fought over because he simply doesn’t have the energy to fight. Even if backed in a corner, his fighting style is sloppy, lazy and very reluctant. He doesn’t like violence at all.

✓ : Name at least two people who can trust them with their life.

Muffet; the two of them are pretty close - not that close, though, haha. He trusts her with pretty much everything on his mind, and she helps him work through a lot of his problems. He likes to think that she trusts him the same way.

Happstablook, eventually, though that’s a ways on in their personal stories.

And Sans, hahah, though that goes without saying,

❤ : Describe a physical action that shows complete trust.

As simple as it seems; falling asleep. More specifically, falling asleep on people. Papyrus is like a tall blue and silver cat, in that he’ll just sleep anywhere you put him, but if he falls asleep on you, he trusts you. It’s a pretty big meaning for a pretty simple and somewhat annoying gesture.

Hoo, boy.

✗ : Explain how they portray feelings of hostility or dislike.

As a celebrity, people watch and judge his every move. He can’t outwardly show hostility towards anyone, as that’ll break the image of the lovable DJ that he’s worked so hard to build; and most of that is genuine anyway. There’s not a mean bone in his body, metaphorically speaking.

Perhaps if he dislikes someone immensely, he’ll be a little cold, hiding behind his professional demeanor. Maybe he’d give the occasional narrow-eyed look. But any form of genuine hostility doesn’t come naturally to Napstaton at all.

⊗ : What is something that causes them to question themself?

One sure-fire way to get him to question himself is to remind him of his cousin. He likes to think he left behind his old life, but he’ll never be able to let go of the nagging guilt caused by leaving Happstablook - his closest family, and indeed someone who relied greatly on him - alone. Remind him that his cousin is home, alone, without him, and he’ll most certainly begin to question himself, for a short time. He rebounds pretty quickly, though. His reasons - at least to himself - are justified, and reminding himself of such will swing his mood back.

❣: Describe a way that will earn affection (whether platonic or romantic) from them.

Be genuine. Be honest. He’s lost track of the amount of people who’ve tried to use him, for his fame, his influence, or even to get through him to Undyne, who he’d protect with his SOUL. Showing him genuine kindness and honesty are sure-fire ways to get to his core, platonically or otherwise. It’ll be a long road, though. He’s more than a little paranoid about people trying to get up close, no matter how friendly he may seem to everyone.
