This is a story that has been long forgotten.
A story of gods and ANGELS.
Of light and dark.
And of an ever repeating dance.
And now, it's this world's turn to join.
...
Once upon a time, there lived the humans and the monsters.
Sharing earth and sky as home, they lived peacefully for time out of mind.
And among the oracles and seers, the kings and queens, the hopes and dreams of all SOULS began to reveal a prophecy.
"When all hope is lost on this broken earth, and when the darkness surges evermore with blood and dust alike staining the land and sea, there shall be a champion of whom shall rise."
"A warrior with the power of light, haloed by the shining stars and sun with wings of HOPE to carry them onwards."
"The ANGEL."
"Accompanied by spirits long lost and the party they choose, bestowed upon with a fraction of their power, the ANGEL and their following shall seal away the darkness and SAVE our very SOULS from being consumed by void incarnate."Ā
"Then, and only then, shall we all be given salvation."Ā
The prophecy was passed down for generations, endlessly echoing across the vast land.
Some were paranoid that the end was near, looking for the ANGEL or even trying to proclaim themselves such a being.Ā
The ANGEL was nowhere to be found.
The tensions between the races of humans and monsters were beginning to run high, be it the stress of the prophecy or the growing and misplaced hatred of each other, until...Ā
War broke out between the two races.
It was never known which side struck first.
After a long, bloody, and dusty battleā¦
The humans emerged victorious.
They planned to seal the monsters underground with a magic spell, dubbed the Barrier.
The humans rounded the monsters up one by one.
Butā¦
Three monsters had managed to escape the clutches of the war, until the humans began to search for those unaccounted for.
And that is where we shall begin, thousands of years ago...
