while i dont manage to wrap up a giga summary, skimming through the #fallen london oc qna, #chainwords, #chaintunes (all of which have Very Few posts) & #fl liveblogging tags should get you some key character info about Reisz! hyacinthe's main tag is fine but i only belatedly realized their Lore stuff gets all but drowned in the silly stupid ship stuff welp . head in hands.
have 2 coloured refs below, the 2nd being one of their latest fits + current hairstyle
they can look either masc or fem! ✨ covered in tiger stripes scars. the ones on their face are very deep & gnarly - they can't move their mouth well on that side due to the damaged muscle. also standing at a minimum of 1,81+ and being visibly fit plus a legendary charisma means they tend to uh. stand out a little.
Important to note that I play a strict game with myself when it comes to my main blorbo: 98% of what the FLPC does, in the exact order i do it, is canon! these are Da Rules.
This also applies to small things like their possessions/wardrobe, for example - they pretty much only have the in-game items I own in the account to wear. And well, when the game says they have 3k rats on a string. They have 3k rats on a string. Somewhere. Finding out reasons to explain why they keep the things they own is part of the challenge. (this game made them out to be a weirdo, naturally) It's been lots of fun to see this clean slate (and i do mean clean - i knew nothing about the setting/lore, or who they were as a person, so. well. this guy didn't either) get shaped by RNG, the narrative, And my mechanical wiki-fuelled optimization decisions.
another extra rule i made for myself as a treat was making them a sponge to compensate for their inherent, well, emptiness. this means they take after Something from each important NPC they get involved with.
Reisz is a singer because of Clara and her twin. they only own a lab & got interested in studying & research bc of Dr. Vaughan. they got a taste for exercise bc they accompanied Hephaesta's workouts for so long. and so on and so forth.
Their "married" situationship also only progresses (or not) in a similar gamified manner. To sum it up, I roll a bunch of dice (d20) whenever I draw Edward's card and build on the results and context. RNG can be quite the co-DM, i'll tell you that. lol

ill make a better, dedicated profile post eventually but for now have this ANCIENT intro (post-ambition, from october) + some early refs below:
The first thing you notice about them is the cowl lazily draped around their head and shoulders, swaying behind their back like a cape in the colours of sunrise-- or, perhaps most familiarly, the velvety twilight that the newest star every so often provides to London.
The second thing is the deep scars covering one side of their face, and the third thing would probably be the heavy eyebags under their sharp, dark eyes.
A relatively freshly-minted Silverer, H. Reisz spends more time in Parabola than London nowadays. Not that they had been in London for too long anyway, and it's not like anyone knows where they were before that either. The surface, yes, but it's a big world out there, right?
They don't actually remember seeing the sun, or the sky, but H cannot deny the soft colours of twilight and sunrise have a special place in their heart. They recognise it without the memory of experiencing it, just like they recognised love in the depths of a certain Labyrinth. Hmm, two Labyrinths, actually. There was that one heiress too... and the Orphanage was inside one hell of a maze too... if they had a coin every time they found themself inside labyrinths, they'd... Uh, where were we?
Well, anyway, being a new face, they had nothing to be known for so they simply gave out their surname instead. Or well, what they assumed to be their surname. "H. REISZ" were the letters sewn-in on a diminute corner of the tattered black veil that wrapped their head back when they woke up for the "first" time. They were surrounded by near-empty bottles of dried mouldy honey, absinthe, and who knows what else. Ah, the decadence... they couldn't even remember what honey could do at the time but they could recognise the stench of self-destruction right away, haha.
Alas, if things were so bad they got to that point-- maybe this explains why moving on was so easy. Maybe they had somehow lobotomized themself on purpose. Who knows?
They sure don't.
It was only now, a year or so after waking up, that an epithet has started to stick around-- specifically by their actions as a Silverer and the services they provided. From nightmare-slaying to fishing out vestigial memories (the irony of an amnesiac doing this is not lost on them) to guiding and safeguarding lost dreamers, their glimmering signature cowl and the way it flowed rather phantasmagorically in Parabola started to leave an impression. To many dreamers, seeing a hint of pastel twilight colours signalled safety. It signalled someone you could trust to get inside your head.

i was testing out pixelified doodles of mine just for the funsies and someone randomly wrote a demonic amen on the spot my overlay (visible only to me) was and. im not sure why but its fuckign killing me dead
Naturally sits in the deeper end but he's used to speaking a little higher. A lot higher when weaponising cuteness
Half of the reason for this is because the game itself alludes to it (back in very early writing that I'm pretty sure was trying to imply he was some kind of starved man or adjacent derived experiment?).
The other half is that picturing a babyfaced blondie with the deepest manliest voice you've ever heard in your life is peak gap moe. I can't NOT have this
Real life examples (not voice/faceclaims) of this phenomenon here and here + this guy with a 6 octave range that can do the THX sound all by himself. I don't think Eddie's normal speaking voice is THAT low but sure he could do it if he wanted. As a treat
The gap moe fits with his Issues tho 👁️. This man clearly wanted to be Scary, and having a deep voice can be quite intimidating! If only his face fit the rest of him...
I also think his pitch varies way more with intonation than the average native English speaker. Almost sing-song-y at times, almost as if always reciting lines from poetry or a novel, specially when he's up to no good (plotting, verbally manipulating, being generally insufferable, etc)
While I don't rly do voiceclaims or faceclaims of any sort, I do love music a normal amount and have a normal number of playlists and sometimes a character will just. Pop up in my head singing. Yeah. Here's a few that summoned the pedward instantly:

having more thoughts on helen's parabolan self... i think she DOES look relatively normal when she's guiding dreamers. a little gaunt, maybe, and still veiled. and she glows, almost, like something you miss but can't quite remember right.

Would Rei perhaps be inclined to introduce Jane to Correspondence-based dancing? I believe Rei has the potential to make Jane so much worse and encourage her obsession shdshfdjhd. Depending on Rei's knowledge, I could imagine them being some form of unofficial mentor to Jane...But I get the impression that instead of helping to expand her proficiency, its more so that they're just inventing new ways for her to dose on that good horror. Much less educational and more "Hey, look at this other cool shit you can do!". Rei is like the little devil on her shoulder that enjoys watching Jane discover absolute grave potential. In turn, Jane would probably see Rei as a muse, inspired by the shadowy form they take in her dreams, as well as the new knowledge they have granted her. I think they would make a unique dynamic...It's giving "You look lonely, I can fix that" if you catch my drift lol. In platonic context!
Oh what it would be like for them to meet in person...Jane has to do a double-take like "Hmm...Why do I sense that I've met you before?" before she realizes and proceeds to fangirl politely.

Reisz knows... as much as one can know mechanically i.e. they have a maxed Scholar of The Correspondence stat. They're not an Actual Scholar publishing papers and stuff, though, so I like flavouring it as fluency in it as a language – they can gather the meaning of pretty much any sigil – and its usage in art forms (a lot of their initial interest was based around that one very early text of the FLPC coming to their senses dancing with their eyes bleeding + Correspondence symphonies in MYN, so it set their focus from the get-go).
Though they are away from London atm, there's this period in their life that's the perfect slot for them to hang around her fiery dreams every once in a while and expand her horizons in more than one front. They were recovering from uhh. Substance-induced pathological pyromania. So it would (secretly) double as some sort of resistance therapy for them, too– having someone else involved in their routines would force them to keep it together. While the scorching can and will burn the sleeping body in the Is, I imagine the damage to be much diminished, and they can always use Glasswork to help with that. So these two wouldn't Correspondence to death! Yay!! 🥳🔥🔥
You're 100% right on the vibes... They're such a show-off lmao and definitely not an orthodox teacher XD I think they'd focus way less on showing her new sigils and much more on different ways of expressing them i.e. the dancing! Rose Giveth in specific is devil language that's apparently a little infections, but there are other manners to convey Correspondence with one's body too. You can sway, you can use your hands, you can "write" with the sweeping of your ankles and steps... this may be a dangerous notion for Jane to realize by herself, eventually: how you can convey the Correspondence in nearly anything.
however ☝️ janey janey. They may heal you when you're together but they won't be responsible over the damage you may wreck on your body anywhere else. Your hands are precious, are they not? And flesh is so very fragile against the heat. Trust them when they say that the pain of losing fingers or having one's eyes melting off isn't fun at all. They would 100% enjoy seeing what new beautiful things she could come up with after they shared some of their skills, but by the second or third dream visit/encounter/haunting they would also urge her to look into developing skills to ensure her self-preservation as well– playing with fire will always have consequences, and best to learn how to survive these sooner than later.....
His ass was not remotely interested in helping anyone or participating in anything else. I settled on this compromise bc someone else needed to move the story forward AND he's not entirely bound to the strings of Muy Rules like Reisz is. He almost went through Is-Not ego death while left alone in the Evolution year and got indirectly trained by his monster Silverer all this time– I figured this man knew his Oneironaut way around steering the Waswood into showing that instance of the past specifically.
