The aria of the Crystal Empire, ominous and solemn, as the snow fell that day across the wintry North. The temperatures were brutal this time of year and unfitting for pony or otherwise. What stood in the center of the Kingdom is a towering crystalline palace structured with dark crystals as well as small crystalline townhouses that had been faded. All around the Castle, it was guarded by brainwashed guards that would obey under Sombra’s commands while in the distance there were slave crystal ponies at work, most which are terribly over exhausted from mining for Crystals for their King.

For those who tried to enter, it would be a challenge if the trespasser in question doesn’t get caught, only to be brought over to King Sombra, who remained in his throneroom at the time being as he was making for plans; special secretive plans that would change the many fates of his Crystal Pony slaves while in terms with plotting revenge against the Regal Princesses that imprisoned him for a millennia.

However..whoever walks in this cursed land, so help them if they don’t get thrown into a dungeon, made into a slave or even brainwashed by the sinister King..

The castle looked amazing from the outside to the albino monkey. It was a perfect place for him, though he knew with some adjustments it could be made better. The only thing really keeping him away from wanting to take this castle was the weather. It was freezing and he hated it. If only the weather was better, oh how he’d love to have another place for him and his piposarus.

For now, his main concern was to just enter the castle and get out of the freezing air. It was a little troublesome with those guards on the loose, but nothing he couldn’t handle. Whether it be avoiding them or using his psychic powers, he managed to get close to the entrance. Seeing that there were guards around here, he was sure there’d be some more dangers ahead. If the owner of the castle was smart, he’d have more of a defense system inside.

Meanwhile…a very unlucky investigator had found himself in this odd land. “Oh man…how did I get dragged into this?” He mumbled to himself as he looked towards the eerie castle. The only thing he wanted to do at this moment was go back home and just not…deal with this.

And this caused him to hesitate, he knew that he had to look around this place, he couldn’t fail the others, but he just didn’t want to go through with this. So, at the moment he’s slowly making his way to the castle, really just hiding behind anything to avoid detection. But it won’t be long before he makes a mistake.

{ ♛ }  The King himself was talking plans over to the captain of the guard, however he stopped when he sensed the essence of fear as well as an unusual power making way, he couldn't help but to give his order to the guards to take action and warn the other units around the premises.

As he got off the throne, he instructed the captain,"Secure the throneroom while I am away. Whoever comes in here, constrain them by any means and I will personally deal with them as soon as I return. As for the plans, we will continue discussing with them at a later time,"

"Yes, your Highness," replied the Captain as Sombra disappeared as a shadow that now lurks around the Palace; this could mean for trouble.

Meanwhile, the guards were being vigilant as ever as they searched around the area of the Palace. However, when one spotted a Human in the distance of the snow, he exclaimed,"Halt! Who goes there?"

Uh oh, someone's busted.

However, this would buy time for the albino monkey to slip in deeper into the Palace, but even then, he would have to face the trap spells around the place as well as the threat of the King.

"…Who are you?"  Despite her tendency to show little enthusiasm, hearing of others who might be knowledgeable of her field of magic did tend to catch Ashley’s attention.  Still, she wasn’t going to prove very talkative until she was sure she wanted to talk to this stranger more.

It was strange really, one minute he was at the Crystal Empire and he turns out here. Thank goodness he can go into the shadows after all.
