Red flags that the person talking about proshippers does not know what they are talking about:

Proship is short for "problematic ships"

The use of proship as a TYPE of ship/"here are my proships!"

That proship is a synonym for pedophile. (I'm not saying no proshipper ever is a pedo, but I'm saying the stance is exclusively about freedom to write what you want.)

Proship is about certain ships, and only X Y and Z ships count as "proship content." (Antis can write the darkest most fucked up content, and wholesome content by proshippers is still technically proship content.)

Proshipping is inherently sexual, and that in order to oppose harassing people over creating X, you must get off to it.

Proshipping is a recent thing. (old fandom culture was mostly proship.)

That every proshipper ships every fucked up ship in existence. Not how it works.

Yeah it brings me anxiety when i see people who claim to be proship saying "what are your favorite proships?" "here are my proships!" "I proship these" etc. I got asked to list three of my "proships" to gain access to a so-called "proship discord" and I started my response to them explaining that proships do not exist, and that it felt like bait. I'll forgive a person if they are new to the community and/or do not speak English as a first language, but it's a red flag for sure.

Proships do not exist. Comships do. And not all proshippers have comships.
