Little Mao Mao: Young Heroes of Pure Heart!

Just a silly little idea for an ageswap AU!

Basically, the premise of the story is still closer to canon, with Mao Mao still being the protagonist! Sort of like a coming-of-age story, haha. Additional concepts include:

Adorabat has been the sheriff of Pure Heart Valley even before the kids stumbled into the kingdom.

Bao Bao may or may not be with Mao Mao and Badgerclops when they came into Pure Heart Valley.

Adorabat still has a carefree and bubbly personality, although likely more different as she grew up without knowing the concept of truly being a hero before meeting Mao Mao.

None of them are amputees (except for Adorabat) … yet.

Anyhow, I suppose that’s it for this AU concept! I thought that it’d be interesting to imagine what it’d be like to alter the story just by tinkering with their ages, haha.

(I believe that there are other similar concepts like this within the fandom, but this is just my personal take on it! I just really liked the idea of an ageswap AU.)

One of my favorite tropes is anthropomorphic animals acting like the IRL species they're based on. I hope we get instances like that with Mao Mao.
