The cherry blossoms on the way to work.
My first time in Japan not being able to do hanami. Hope everyone is staying safe 💪💪
Hanami, tabidachi japan
I made a video about our hanami (cherry blossom viewing) trip to Nagoya in Japan. We also try some confine and festival snacks :)
So this year because Hanami is basically cancelled, but you can enjoy this video I made of last year’s hanami escapades.
Hope you are enjoying spring at home this year and staying safe :)
Cloud and Aerith Polygon figures from the Final Fantasy VII collaboration campaign at Seven Eleven.
I visited the Square Enix Cafe in Akihabara and the Artnia Cafe in Shinjuku for the Final Fantasy VII Remake limited edition menu.
Each drink comes with a random coaster, and the food dishes come with a ‘luncheon’ mat. If anyone actually uses it for that purpose I would be surprised...Also if you collect stamps from two cafes (theres another square Enix cafe in Osaka, too) you get a special coaster!
Sephiroths drink with its stupidly long straw sword was my favourite👏

One of the winter festivals most unique to Fukushima: Shirakawa Daruma Market! Daruma dolls of all sizes are sold at lines of little stalls near Shirakawa Station. It’s a Japanese custom to draw in the right eye of your daruma, make a wish, and only complete the remaining eye when you wish comes true, so they’re the perfect purchase for motivation to complete new year’s resolutions! This year’s Daruma Market will be held on February 11. (白河駅) https://www.instagram.com/p/B7U5JuZn0SJ/?igshid=x0puyy0ditji

初夢(はつゆめ) Hatsuyume
In Japan your first dream of the new year (on the night of January 1st) is said to foretell the luck for the coming year.
What was your hatsuyume?
Winter seems to be coming very slowly this year 🍂
