this is the insane world i've been living in for the past few days where parrot & wifies accept ashswagg's offer to join the invis mafia post-mining city and then proceed to aura farm for like 20 episodes straight. thoughts under cut

i posted about this sometime before but i think that it honestly would've been really easy for ash to convince parrot to join the invis mafia. he just needed to appeal to parrot's ego and convince him that the invis mafia was trying to seize control of the server for the sake of "protecting people" and "capturing spoke because he used exploits" rather than solely trying to intimidate parrot into joining. parrot is a guy who needs to think that he's doing the right thing & ash did not pick the correct dialogue options that would've tricked him into signing up LOL

parrot is gold trim because he can't bring himself to kill to take the place of a diamond player. ash relies on him a lot for strategy advice but it pisses ash off that no matter how much he threatens parrot, parrot just will not personally draw blood. it's parrot's own little form of rebellion. and it's a huge point of tension between them.

it's all okay though because wifies can. wifies is diamond because (i) he wanted to protect parrot, (ii) he figured both him and parrot would become indispensable if either of them earned a place close to ash, and (iii) he was NOT going to let parrot be the one to risk his life fighting another diamond trim for that rank.

when ashswagg gives parrot an assignment to kill someone wifies does it instead; he won't let parrot get blood on his hands. he's willing to fight but he's always underhanded about it because he's self-admittedly not that good at pvp -- his signature is to get someone fully trapped/unaware of what's about to happen before coming in with the mace to take them out in one blow.

parrot is MISERABLE and so worried about whether what they're doing is the right thing. his confidence in wifies is tested every day, especially given that wifies won't listen to him at all about potentially killing ash and just disbanding the mafia entirely. wifies thinks "well as long as this is keeping parrot off the front lines and i can handle myself in his place who cares." he thinks it's way better to be safe as part of the mafia as opposed to being hunted down by them.

also sorry drawing them in suits rather than full armor was a personal choice for my sanity lol. i tried to incorporate the eye armor trim in the eye shapes on the chains/jewelry & the capelets looking like the shoulder pieces on the chestplate? but not sure if it carried super well lol
