blizzard is taking too long to give me a black female overwatch hero so i went and made one myself :/
her codename is north (real name imani) and she is a middle school science teacher by day, vigilante by night! she’s a 3-star difficulty offense hero specializing in close-range melee combat, and her weapons are dual stun batons. her abilities are:
swipe (lmb) - alternating melee attacks with her batons. 1 hit per mouse click, no headshots.
each consecutive hit on a target increases this attack’s base damage of 40HP by 7.5 points, for up to 85HP/hit.
damage output resets upon hitting different target or after 3 seconds of not hitting the original target.
the idea is to reward players for staying in close combat and sticking to one hero rather than swinging wildly.
dodge roll (rmb) - roll in a given direction (range = 5m). 1sec cooldown.
shooting star (lshift) - dash to a selected target (enemy or friendly) within 20m. 3sec cooldown.
this allows north to quickly engage or retreat as needed
satellite (e) - choose an ally within line of sight and absorb the damage they take for 3 seconds. north’s next attack unleashes the absorbed damage in a single strike. 8sec cooldown
this is a good ability to save for when an ally is being focused/low on HP and could use some backup
constellation (q) - lock-on to up to 5 targets and chain a series of 5 attacks between them.
damage increases by 50% for each consecutive target. base damage = 50, max possible damage = 243.
same target can be picked more than once, but not twice in a row
next target must be within in line of sight of previous target.
player must choose next target within 7 seconds or ult will cancel.
the idea of this ultimate is to encourage strategic thought and to coordinate with one’s team as to which target should receive the greatest focus
i’ll post more on her if anyones interested but for now have her + some basic skin swaps :v
fun fact, i read tags & noticed some ppl who rb’d this were complaining she would be useless/underpowered, so i retconned her abilities out of spite :) additional passive abilities:
all maps now have compasses and north becomes twice as powerful when facing her cardinal direction
enemy tracers lose half their HP upon looking at north
every time someone talks shit about her the devs (read: me) go in and double her base damage output.
