Sytrus-chan has a new look!

Bit of a character design challenge to help me break out of the block I’ve been in lately.  Basically, the best way to explain this is this is a Hatsune Miku-esque interpretation of the Sytrus digital FM synth.  Recently the synth got a major GUI overhaul, so I thought it’d be fun to re-imagine what Sytrus-chan would look like with the new design.

This is a reference to this comic I drew a few years ago, which in and of itself is a reference to this moment from the Season 4 Finale Bronies React.  That's right baby, we're going 4 levels deep on this one! It is now my headcanon that Twilight just uses the Hasbro Legal Dpt. as her personal hit-squad bogeymen on anyone she doesn't like.

Look at these dweebs, who told them they could act so dumb? Anyways, haven't drawn anything in a while, wanted to get back in the swing of things by sketching some lombaxes. So naturally of course I took it too far and ended up rendering the whole thing. Ratchet and Clank is a game series that I came late to the party to, for many people it basically was their childhood; I only came across it in highschool (grew up on nintendo instead).  So I guess you could say R&C games were the childhood I never had.  Either way they're frickkin' spectacular and waayy stinking fun to play.  Nothing is more relaxing than punching your way through waves of enemies using ridiculously overpowered weapons, whilst jamming out to David Bergeaud's catchy-as-hell soundtrack. Rest in peace Angela Cross, you were a really great character for like, half a game. #BringAngelaBack there's a trampoline just below the frame btw

Meet Siri, the druid mermaid!  As a young child, her mind was ripped apart and hastily reassembled by an Archfey, so that's why the unfocused eyes.  She's slow to understand speech, slower to talk, and can't focus on any single thing for too long before slipping back into her own separated mindspace.  However, she's a powerful spellcaster (another result of the Archfey encounter), with an extreme sensitivity to life (even stepping on a bug is enough to seriously upset her). A lot of her quirks and personality is based off of River Tam, as well as my relatives with autism. More deets: Druid, Circle of Dreams Mermaid, Kannamien Variety True Neutral Strength: 13 Dexterity: 20 Constitution:14 Intelligence: 5 Wisdom: 17 Charisma:9 Touching any water (save for drinking) while in Landform will automatically cause her to revert back to Seaform, must spend a bonus action to change again. also circle of dreams druids get super good healing abilities so like everyone prepare for some really nice heals

Yo I frikkin' loved Into the Spiderverse. Top movie of 2018 and at least top ten of all time for me.  And, like the weeb that I am, I absolutely loved Peni the moment she arrived on the screen. So I drew her posing like a badass, because she is. Once again, this was supposed to be a simple sketchy painting, but it got progressively more complex until I had to dial things back because it was getting just way too busy. Someone tell my hand to stop please
