You looked around the halls at all the stupid girls with stupid roses, stupid teddy bears, and stupid chocolate candies.

Were you upset that you didn’t have a valentine this year? Yes. Were you upset that everyone else had cute things and you didn’t? Not necessarily, but there was no need for them to be flaunting it like it was no big deal.

You walked to your next class which you had San in, so at least you’d see your best friend.

You walked into your maths class and put your bag on the seat next to you so you could save it for San.

San threw his bag on the desk you saved and sat on your desk. “Hey Sweetheart!” You automatically throw your head onto San’s thigh and whine. “San- I can’t believe I don’t have a valentine!”

San laughs above you, “So what am I? A piece of shit?” You look up to see San with a Teddy Bear and a candy heart.

Your mouth drops open as you squeal and hug San. “You know what? No! You really told me you didn’t have a valentine when I’m always your valentine!”

San pouts at you for a few seconds before starting to tease you, “Looks like imma have to eat all this chocolate by myself…”

You shake your head and grab onto San, “Nonono! I’m sorry! I promise I won’t forget next year!”

You shake your head and stick out your pinky for a pinky promise, “I promise.” San gasps dramatically, “That’s a big promise sweetheart, what if you have a boyfriend?” You shrug at him, “Who said I couldn’t have two valentines?”

San whines at you, “I’ll be your favourite though right?” You pinched San’s cheek as you nodded, “Of course, you’ll always be my favourite,” San gave you one of his best smiles before jumping off your desk and walks back to the classroom door.

You watch him with a confused expression as he does a little spin before walking back to where you were sitting, “Happy Valentine’s Day sweetheart.”

You were confused but you pretend like it was the first time you got the gift. You gasped and put your hands over your mouth, a little over dramatic? Of course. But did you continue? Yes.

You got up and wrapped your arms around San, “Thank you! It’s so cute! I love you San!” San laughed at your behaviour but laughed either way.

You looked around the classroom and saw the stupid girls from earlier, with the stupid flowers, stupid teddy bears, and the stupid candy… you’re one of the stupid girls now… but it’s okay because your best friend San gave it to you and it’s a lot cuter than theirs.
