Future Hiatus

Please note! From the 17th until early January I will be MIA. It is Dorian’s first birthday, Christmas and then my own birthday the day after Christmas, followed by New Years so I will be pretty wrapped up in family and celebrations.

We are possibly moving house in January too so this mini hiatus might turn into a full one depending on if we find a house since Australia’s ability to connect internet at new houses is butts and sometimes takes weeks.

Hopefully I’ll just be back in January though!

Yixing couldn’t help but chuckle at the other’s reaction,it meant more to Yixing then a simple birthday gift. He always felt bad about drifting apart from his friend, it was his own fault.

“Of course I did!” The wolf smiled and reached out to help the other clasp the bracelet around his wrist grateful it was a perfect fit. “It’s a Chinese good luck charm, I hope it will give you all the good luck in the world” 

Yixing’s tail raised up and wagged a bit behind him, glad Leo enjoyed his gift and was happy with it. “You are very welcome, I also wanted to apologize for losing touch with you for so long”

Even if Leo couldn’t read the charm he was excited that he had received a gift at all, let alone a gift from a close friend - no matter how much time had separated them. 

Launching himself at the wolf he rubbed his cheek against the other firmly spreading his scent all over him. The smell sweet and musky, showing how happy Leo was, clearly marking Yixing as ‘friend’ with that smell.

“Y-you don’t have to apologize, I-I’m just happy to have my f-f-friend here” he said with an honestly shy smile curving up the corners of his lips, golden eyes giving a bright flash of happiness towards the wolf.

If you could have 1 last day with anyone who use to be in your life or that you dearly, who would it be?

There are so many... so many people that I have lost... There are some that I never got to give my farewells... Masters... Owners...P-p-precious Lovers... Kings... B-but would it really be okay to h-hurt my heart just to say goodbye?

I-I’d rather have another d-day with someone who makes me a better person... Geumhee o-or perhaps my Kitty... well... better may be the wrong choice of words...

But it would be a day of fun...

I s-sincerely doubt anyone would even notice I was gone... I-I’m not exactly the talkative type... P-perhaps... I would be thought of... but missed? Nobody misses nightmares... I don’t mind... a-as long as I am not forgotten...

If you were to leave Insolitus, what would be the top 5 or 6 things would miss?

Apart from m-my friends and... teachers... that I get along with? I-I would miss the opportunity for... adventure... and th-the food... a-and I don’t mean from the cafeteria... People come here s-so full of fear... I-I’ve never been better fed.

I don’t have to h-hide... who I am... o-or what I can do... I can feed without fear... 

W-why would I ever leave?...

How do you feel about Insolitus academy since you've been there for multiple years? How has your perception of the academy changed, for example when you began attending versus now?

At first it was scary... t-teachers that can... and will... kill their students... students that just w-want their pound of flesh... cliques... that even now still exist j-just to push you out... 

But... 

Insolitus taught me t-to have a thicker skin... to enjoy the chaos... a-and how to approach people... first... a-and not just... wait for them to c-come to you. 

Th-this place groomed me... g-gave me a home... and a place to develop my... Cheshire s-skills. When I first came... I loathe to use my power... o-or make friends... no-nobody was allowed to touch me. A-and now I’ve g-got a boyfriend... e-even had a sleepover in space! P-people are... so much easier... e-even if they are no less dangerous or mean.

I-I have explored s-so much... a-and seen things that nobody else could imagine. G-gone under the school t-to find treasures... placed i-in a high ranking tournament... s-searched for ghosts... and found them. I would never have e-experienced these things i-if I was just the boy h-hiding in the hospital stairwell th-that I was before...

Th-this place is hard to fit in... and people can be so cruel... but here I have never been more of a person... instead of the monster u-under the bed.

Yixing immediately dropped Leo’s tail when he saw his reaction, worried that he had hurt his friend. He sniffed the air a bit before replying “Your scent has an intruder” He laughs “It just smells like I’m guessing your boyfriend” Leo’s normal sweet smell was covered with something more musk Yixing ears flicker as he remembered something “but enough about that, don’t think I forgot” He pulled away enough to dig into his pocket and take out a small box, using both hands he hands it over to Leo with a smile “Happy Birthday” Inside the box was a Charm bracelet with one charm.

Leo blushed lightly knowing full well he was smelling more like his boyfriend than he should, he clung, with good reason after all the others that he had let slip through his fingers. He felt sorry that Yixing had to smell his boyfriends leather, tobacco, vodka combo that was his scent - it wasn’t the most pleasant to enhanced senses like theirs.

His tail and ears shot up as he was handed the jewelry box, opening it with his golden eyes set comically wide. He hadn’t broadcast his birthday, not even to his boyfriend, and in the end he had received a cake from a very old friend anyways. This was his first gift!

“Y-you got me... a pr-present?” he opened the box and carefully tried to put the bracelet around his wrist, fumbling with the excitement of receiving such a pretty trinket, especially one that told him he was good - even if he couldn’t read the Chinese - he loved it.

Yixing could only sigh and lay his head on Leo’s shoulder “Unexpected? It was out of the blue!…or maybe I just ignored the signs I don’t know” He pulled away and shook his head “But it’s fine and I’m okay” It was a straight up lie but Yixing just didn’t want to talk about it anymore, he didn’t want to have an emotional break down in front of his friend that he hasn’t seen in so long. “So how are you Leo? You…smell different” He picks up Leo’s tail and softly pets the fur with a smile, his own tail laying limply against his leg.

Leo’s tail shot up, a look of concern coming on his face at the comment, for a moment he worried he might have been going into heat but then he remembered the date, and how it was only a few days after his birthday, an impossible day for his heat to come so he relaxed considerably knowing there was no risk to his friend right now. “D-d-different how?” he found himself asking, wondering what it was, whether it was just the fact that he had a lover to share his scent now, or if the other could smell the stress of the last few months on him.
