What I want out of ANY romance in media these days is for them to just not. touch it. I want to see stories written with like, no plans. Or if there's plans, i want those plans be absolutely invisible. I want characters doing what they do, together and individually, without a hint of any active romantic subplot. I want characters who are around for a whole season, two seasons, hell more even, before there's a shift in that direction. I guess in short I want to want it, not to dread it.
