a quick psa post on stamp templates !!

do not use any "free to use" stamp templates that you find on tumblr or on any pastebin site, like rentry. they are uncredited and/or stolen more often than not.

the most commonly stolen ones i see are by Gasara, king-lulu-deer (specifically king-lulu-deer's pink windows 95 stamp template), lil-devil-melli, and emeraldtokyo on deviantart. these are their rules in order:

there's also one in particular i see stolen and edited a LOT.

this is a pay to use stamp template made by firstfear. under no circumstances should anyone be using or redistributing it.

these are people who made their graphics, their artwork, their edits, free out of the kindness of their heart. please be kind in return and respect that, even if you think they dont "deserve credit" (which is not up to you, might i add.)

if you recognize any of the templates above, please, kindly inform the poster that they require credit or cannot be reuploaded. a lot of people i've encountered simply reuploaded templates from other people that didn't give credits.

guys, i don't know if me asking this person to credit the artist prompted this, but if it did i'd like to ask for you to not be fucking assholes about crediting artists 😭

its a bad thing to do, sure, but it absolutely DOES NOT warrant insulting the person on their edits. most people ive talked to simply forget to add credits and respond kindly to me asking them to add credits. not to mention you're putting down other beginner editors too.

to whichever dickhead sent this: not only are you a coward for sending hate on anon, you are also a hateful cunt who uses someone making an honest mistake as an excuse to attack them. you think you're doing something good, but you're not.

and to the op, @777sevs, i deeply apologize. please send some love to them if you're able to!

EDIT: i'll be keeping this post up just so that people will see – the issue has been resolved, and @/dictor has told me she is planning to add art credits to their posts now. whether or not they will continue to do this has yet to be seen

i'd still like to emphasize for people to not send them hate, harass them, or spam them for any reason. its immature and you're a bitch for doing so. okay?

i promise to you all that i wont do this that often, but i believe that speaking out is required to make change.

@d1ctor is an art thief who refuses to give credits for the art they use in their layouts and their edits.

i tried to be kind to them at first because they didnt clarify on what they meant by "brain issues" back then – i thought that they might have meant maybe something like autism that can hinder someones understanding. but, no, they meant that because they have memory issues, they shouldn't have to credit the artist.

this was me again, checking to see if they'd credit anybody. they still say no despite me having told them ways to credit the artist and offering my help just in case.

having "memory issues" is not and will never be an excuse for stealing art when there are still ways to keep track of the artists, such as writing them down, bookmarking the page, etc. they clearly just don't want to because people have told them to do so.

do not fucking harass them. do not send hateful messages to their inbox. it will do nothing, as they've already established that they won't be crediting artists no matter what. just block if you'd like and don't request anything from them.
