haknyeon’s heard of it before from his seniors, moments when an artist just knows. when they listen to something and it changes them, when they realize that wow, this is it. and whilst per_se have had a few songs released already that haknyeon did quite enjoy, he’d never actually felt like that with any of their songs. it wasn’t as though he disliked the previous songs they’d released –– he’d just hadn’t gotten that feeling that his seniors spoke of.
that is, of course, until they’re made to listen to their next comeback song. o sole mio. it feels new, like something that hasn’t been done before, that’ll probably put them on the map. this, he thinks, must be what his seniors had meant when they spoke of that feeling.
he sits in the practice room, replaying his part a few times when he spots huidong. “hyung!” he looks up excitedly at the older boy and waves his hands in greeting. “i was just listening to our comeback song! it’s really good isn’t it?” he beams, eyes practically glistening. “i feel like... the concept this time is... mature sexy. cool sexy... cool, mature, sexy, dudes... and the song is so good!” his smile only growing wider as he speaks.Â
