After Christmas, Hibiya finds himself on an embarrassingly tighter budget even than usual--even if he was usually making strange crafts for people, this was true desperation, and so he holds out this gift with a sense of self-consciousness. "Happy birthday, Kido-san." Neatly wrapped are some clear jars, topped round cloth caps tied with checked ribbon--'tea', 'sugar' and 'coffee' handsewn in cursive to make their purpose clear. Hopefully she wouldn't mind.
The fact he recalled, congratulated her, would already have been enough. Kido appreciated small gestures a lot already, after all. But getting a gift, especially when on tight budget, moved her more than she wanted to let on. Hibiya surely would not have minded if she did, though. Also Kido only guessed when it came to the budget thing - she didn’t expect any gifts for her birthday, when Christmas was so close and felt like it was unfair to the others to do so. “Hibiya... you didn’t have to... ah, thank you so much!” Once again the leader was surprised, yet also figured she most likely was due not caring about her own birthday much to begin with. It was thanks to the dan Kido did, otherwise it would’ve been yet another normal day.
“These are amazing, is this self-made? You’re very skilled. I want to put them to use immediately, but I also don’t want anything happen to them... I’ll make sure to find a good place.” Carefully examining the gift, afraid she might break it, Kido was tempted to put them to use asap, but... well, didn’t want an accident to happen to them, either. After all, they were the only ones of their kind! For starters, they’d find a save place in her room.
