Dark, it was dark that night, the night her father was brutally murdered in front of her young eyes. She had been hidden, silent, in the closest closet. All Kaitlin remembers from that night is darkness. Darkness, a fearful transformation, and the sharp pain of needles piercing her flesh as the doctors try to calm her down.
Her mother tells her that every time she started to move, the doctors tranquilized her, fearing she would kill them under her terrifying tiger strength. A strength that she could not control. A strength that at three, she should not have been able to access.
The experience left her with a fear of doctors, a fear of needles, and worst a fear of her own power. That fear was the one she was fighting to get over now. At twelve, she found that now she had to control her power, lest she lose control and possibly tear apart her friends, or her family.
She found the task easier said than done.
Kaitlin sat down, I can do this. I am my Father's daughter.
