"There is no one I respect more in this galaxy than you." Garrus turned to face her. Shepard tried to ignore her breathing, and the frenzied flame which burned under her cheeks. "If we can figure out how to make it work..." A devilish twinkle danced behind his eyes as they raked over her. Inside she squirmed, feeling for the first time like a doe who was about to be ravaged. At that second, she questioned what she got herself into.
God, I hope he fucks me so good I forget my name.
"…Then, yeah…definitely."
Since I'm out of town I had to take a small break from updating my main shakarian fanfiction for a bit. However, I wrote this little thing on the plane.
Kelly makes the mistake of flirting with Garrus where Shepard's eyes can see.
Written from Miranda's point of view with some funny Jack observations. Enjoy.
“Okay, Cerberus bitch.”
“Wow, maybe you should get another insult and a shirt.” Miranda bit back at Jack, who curled her full lips, reaching for another insult. There was a beat, and Miranda noticed Jack’s narrow brown eyes dart sharply behind her. The expression that flickered across her features was one of amusement and curiosity. Glancing over her shoulder, Miranda saw what was so interesting to the bald biotic.
Standing beside one of the crew deck tables were Kelly Chambers and Garrus; the turian seemed to be having just a casual conversation with the crew member. However, it was clear from her body language that the yeoman was flirting.
One hand placed demurely to her chest, mirroring his stance. Giggling at something he said, Kelly leaned forward slightly, her cheeks a rosy hue.
“Oh yikes.” Miranda cringed. On Omega, when he almost died, Miranda saw the way gentleness flowed from Shepard. The way the commander whispered to him, her southern voice full of suddenly soothing honey.
“It’s going to be okay, Garrus. Stay with me. Shh. It’s going to be okay. I got you.”
Silently, Miranda had watched as Shepard gripped his hand. Her full bottom lip and chin wobbled. A streak of his blue blood along her supple brown cheek, matching his clan markings.
“You think that girl has any idea?” Jack asked, crossing her arms.
“If she did, I don’t think she would dare to lay it on so thick.” It was, in truth, the first time that Miranda and Jack maintained a back-and-forth that involved something other than their disdain for each other.
From down the hallway, there was a unique cadence of footsteps that echoed around the corner. At the sound, Miranda swallowed.
Bang. Bang. Bang. Clear. Each sturdy footfall was driven by the weighty boots and the confident stride.
“Oh shit. Well, she’s about to find out.” Jack snickered, her shiny dark eyes glinting wickedly in the harsh bluish-white light of the Normandy.
Without a word, Commander Quinn Shepard cut around the corner. At that moment, Kelly laughed again and lay her hand on Garrus’ arm. Behind those hellish, blazing eyes, Shepard’s glare clicked between the yeoman's overly familiar touch and Garrus’ face, which was already turned away from Kelly as if he sensed Shepard’s aura the moment she came around the corner. Finally, her blooming crimson stare landed on Kelly’s grinning face.
When their eyes met, the titters of Kelly’s laugh ceased. The only sound now was Mass Sergeant Rupert Gardner's irritating low whistling.
“Commander! I’m glad you’re here; I have a few things I wanted to discuss with you.” Garrus said, with a wide turian smile, exposing his sharp teeth.
Based on all the data Miranda had to review on Shepard during the Lazarus Project, she had her ideas as to WHY Commander Shepard was so attracted to Garrus.
The most important factor was safety. During her life, Quinn Shepard's relationship to security was fleeting. And Garrus Vakarian made her feel safe, and by the bladed look she threw at Kelly, she was willing to claw out eyeballs to keep that feeling.
With a nod at Kelly, Garrus stepped towards Shepard. Like a magnet attracted to a spool of barbed wire. Red embarrassment beamed across Chamber’s whole face and neck.
The communication that was displayed between the two women flew over Garrus’ non-primate, not from Earth head.
Clenched jaw, sharp glancing daggers, hand on the hip.
Mortified blotchy redness, shoulders raised almost to the ears, shrinking. Wishing to vanish out of her corporeal form. Poor girl.
Without a single word, Shepard moved down the hallway towards the main battery. Garrus followed from behind; he hovered his hand near the small of her back. However, he snapped his hand away before he could touch her. The motion was clear; he wanted to rest his talons on her lower back but then thought better of it.
Silently, Shepard threw one single glance at Chambers from over her bare shoulder.
Eyes of a wolf lending a single warning.
Back off.
“Ay, Chambers!” Jack called once the Commander and Garrus were far out of earshot. The yeoman gulped and blinked over at them.
“I think the bird boy and his bussy are spoken for!”
At the word “bussy,” Miranda’s mouth fell open, and she snapped her head back at Jack.
“What? They have boy pussies, ya know.”
Miranda didn’t say anything, only shaking her head and going back into her office. That was enough social time for the day. Yet, she did laugh to herself because, unfortunately, that was a very accurate description of the turian sheath.
AN: Quinn doesn't hate Kelly. However, she isn't the best at showing she feels jealous and maybe? A tiny bit insecure seeing Kelly touch him. I never promised that my Shepard was mature lol
It was humid due to the many waterfalls that perpetually flowed. At her feet were the fallen pink blossoms from the grand trees that arched across the threshold leading into the Citadel Tower. The gentle tingle of sweet blooms filled her nose as she inhaled. Beautiful smell, yet her eyes itched from the pollen.
Shepard's inner ear wiggled when she detected the specter's name radiating from an unknown, wavering turian voice.
“Saren's hiding something. Give me more time, stall them.” One turian urged to another. To her human eyes, they both looked nearly identical. However, the one speaking was taller. The exoskeleton like plates of his face a sterling silver glint, blue markings adorning it.
Randomly, without provocation, her subliminal mind blurted intrusively.
“… looks like he smells good.”
At the thought, Shepard scrunched her face, grimacing, she hurled the thought away. “Stall the Council ? Don't be ridiculous. Your investigation is over Garrus.” His superior said, dismissing him and stepping away. An uneasy pause hung in the air for a second; he turned to meet Shepard's stare. Turian eyes had a shimmer about them; the blue of his reminded her of glimmering lakes and the Atlantic Ocean.
Anger was the only turian expression that was easy for humans to decipher. A lot of the time their faces appeared expressionless. However, by the lowered brows and folded arms, it was obvious he was pissed off. He stepped forward.
“Commander Shepard. Garrus Vakarian, I was the C- Sec officer in charge of Saren's investigation.”
With a tilt of her head, she looked up at him, a dark quirk playing at the corners of her lips.
“Sounds like you blew it.” she replied. The plates above Garrus' eyes slightly rose and then shot back down. “But is there anything I should know?”

Summary:
An exploration of the relationship between Earth-born/Renegade Quinn Shepard and Garrus Vakarian. Most of the story takes place after the start of Mass Effect 2 with flashbacks to ME1 and before.
Shepard had died.
Garrus had mourned her.
Then she rose from the dead.
Maybe it’s a good idea not to ignore those feelings again. Someone should say something.
The last time he saw her was on the loading dock, walking towards the Normandy in her red striped armor, between Liara and Tali.
“I’ll let you know when we are heading back, Garrus! Don’t forget!” She turned to smile at him, dimples at her brown cheeks. Garrus thought about how he had heard multiple human crew members mention how ‘cute’ her dimples were. “You said drinks were gonna be on you!” She playfully made finger guns at him.
“No promises! It might just slip my mind.” He yelled back. Tali waved, and all three of them stepped onto the Normandy. Just before the door closed, he heard Shepard’s boisterous laugh at something he presumed one of the other women had said.
Just putting this here because I love this part mmmk.

"Damn…" Garrus uttered as Shepard slinked up to them, one hand demurely holding the bottom of her long dress, a black clutch handbag in the other.
"I assume we'll discuss further details in the hovercar," Shepard said in a brief manner to Kasumi. There was a beat; no one spoke, all of them still stunned by the snug dress. With a blink, Shepard motioned to the front of the gown. "If you think this is something." She turned around, showing off the daringly low back of her dress.
If not for the black sheer thong peeking out enticingly, the crack of her ass would have been exposed. There were a few more glowing cybernetic scars on her shoulders and one running along the valley of her spine. Duh, the commander had a very nice back. However, Joker was far more interested in examining Garrus' reaction.
Again, 'awooooga.'
Garrus' blue eyes ricocheted from back, waist, hips, ass, and back.
Rubbing her chin and inspecting Shepard, "Damn, Shep. I agree this dress fits your body much better," Kasumi noted. "Love the thong."
Shepard turned back around, "Thanks!" With a sly smile, her glowing gaze slipped over to Garrus, whose mouth was still somewhat parted open.
At her smirk, he snapped it shut and gulped. "What do you think, Officer Vakerian?" she knocked an ample hip to one side. Joker almost chuckled out loud but stifled it, quickly.
"I- "Garrus cleared his throat, took a single step toward the commander, straightened his posture, and kept eye contact with her.
"You look amazing, Commander."
The tension hung in the air; Joker could almost taste it. He shot a glance at Kasumi, who had a massive grin on her face while blinking between Garrus and Shepard.
The commander pursed her lips at his compliment; for a split second, Joker glimpsed a younger and innocent version of her.
The innocence of the expression made him recall growing up on Tiptree: the popular cheerleader standing in the hallway, flirting with a jock. Not the kind of jock that would have bullied Joker, but the kind of chill guy who also got good grades.
Kasumi tapped on her Omni-Tool, "We should get ready to head out."
Shepard nodded and went to move for the door; however, Garrus put one hand on her shoulder.
"When you are back, I need to speak to you," he uttered. "Be careful."
