How do you feel about your father?
“Am I supposed to be feeling anything toward him?”
“What do you want? Gratitude? Forgiveness? Some sort of understanding as to why he did what he did to a CHILD? His own son? Because if you’re looking for anything positive, you’ve come to the wrong one.”

Sometimes souls got lost.
As much as Hades had tried to figure out just how or why some souls ended up in other places, it was still one of those mysteries of the Underworld. There were plenty of his Grecian family that were worshipped in other cultures by other names. Of course they’d all been adopted by the Romans as well to fit their needs, some better suited than others. And they were also rather big on the whole idea of conquering other places which could have been where some of the problems came in. And if they were ending up here then he was sure somewhere things were being evened out with others going to the other respective realms of the dead.
This was definitely one of those cases. He didn’t usually judge the souls and where they were to reside for the rest of eternity, but then they’d never actually had one from Egypt either. Somewhere it would balance... He just hoped he hadn’t lost anyone important as he reviewed the young woman’s life, leaving her to stand there alone in the chamber. Judgement was not a public affair nor the concern of anyone else as far as he was concerned. He looked down at her solemnly. “And do you have anything to add? I’m afraid I don’t use scales and feathers.”

He’d almost be amused if it wasn’t turning into something a little, well, annoying. True, they probably did seem like some sort of monsters that needed to be hunted down, but his Erinyes didn’t appreciate it and had been asking for permission to turn their vengeance upon the pair of hunters. He wanted to at least try to set the record straight before he ended up with a couple of disgruntled spirits who apparently were unaware of what they were getting themselves into...
He’d waited until the one was alone, not looking to cause any sort of panic from talking about it. “You know you can’t actually kill them... The winged ladies with the snakes for hair? I’m not sure what you apparently think they are but I’m going to guess some sort of gorgons which is actually kind of insulting to the gorgons since they don’t need those whips and all.” Perhaps he was thinking a little too narrowly since there were plenty of feminine “demons” these days. “And you’ve been kind of keeping them from getting on with their job.”
AU where Zeus finds out Hera’s strongly considering a move against Kore/Persephone and asks Hades to take her to the Underworld as protection until she calms down. Apparently Demeter’s attempt to sway Hera into not doing anything because “look what happens when I’m just missing her, imagine what would happen if you actually did something” works. But they go to find out Persephone has no desire to leave the company of Hades.
