*The growl immediately put Undyne on edge, the Royal Guard Captain sweeping the area with her spear, holding it at the ready in case she needed to-- sHE WAS ALREADY UNDER ATTACK!!
*Undyne let out a HURGHK as she was taken down, about to retaliate when she heard.. panting? And now they were snuggling her.. and.. drooling? Was this a dog?
*Undyne pushed its face?? away a bit so she could get a better look at it. Her mouth twitched in disgust and confusion, yet she was suddenly unafraid. Not only was this monster clearly not attacking her, they seemed.. familiar.
“Who... are you? What are you??”

*For Toriel, that Friday had started just like any other day. In the morning, she’d gotten up early, made breakfast and lunch for Frisk, and taken the child to school, where she also served as the teacher. During the lunch break, she’d taken her time to head over to the bakery that Muffet had opened nearby, bought her own lunch ((she could have easily made her own, but she loved to have a reason to visit)), and chatted with the spider girl like usual.
*Once school was over, however, she took Frisk back home to pack and get ready for their first sleepover! Of course she overpacked; two extra comforters, three extra pairs of socks and underwear, two pairs of pajamas? Toriel just wanted to make sure Frisk had EVERYTHING they needed in case something happened. It was Sans, however, that came to pick up the child; Toriel hadn’t wanted the sleepover to be at her house, so Sans and Papyrus had volunteered their new place close by ((Papyrus was also excited to meet Frisk’s friends from school, and Sans couldn’t say no to that.))
*There was a reason Toriel had wanted the house to herself that night; She had plans of her own. She hadn’t been able to meet with her favorite spider much since the barrier had broken aside from their chats during Tori’s lunch break, and they decided that they could have a ‘sleepover’ of their own, complete with cheesy old horror movies. Alphys had introduced her to those a while back and she couldn’t get enough, and once she discovered it was a common interest with Muffet they bonded over them in a heartbeat.
*It was starting to grow dark, and Toriel was a bit nervous; she hoped she hadn’t come off too strong on the spider when she’d proposed the idea. They’d been well acquainted before the barrier was broken, but again, their contact had been a bit more sparce since they both had taken up new responsibilities. But soon enough, Tori heard that familiar ring of her doorbell, and excitedly rushed to the door, taking a moment to calm herself before opening it to greet her special guest.

*The vision opens up to an already pleasant scene; the birds are singing, the flowers are blooming, and the sun is shining down upon the world; it’s the surface! Seems everything worked out here.
*The vision hones in towards a beach; there are a myriad of monster and human children playing and splashing in the water, while the beach is mostly devoid of anyone older than a teenager. Toriel and Asgore sit together under an umbrella, keeping a watchful eye over the children and enjoying their fun in the sun.
*”Tori, I must say I’m quite surprised you invited me to chaperone your field trip. I know we’ve been alot closer than when the barrier broke, but a part of me thought you still...” Asgore rubs the back of his head bashfully, his sentence trailing off.
*”...Asgore, I was just angry. Angry and upset and hurt, but... I think we all were. I was rather unfair to you, and I’ve wanted to apologize.”
*The vision starts to get hazy and the sound is muffled; you cannot make out what they are talking about, but it seems to get a bit more relaxed as they talk and laugh about a few things.
*Everything fades to black.
The Blind Date
As the sun reached its high point in the sky, the former queen of the underground set out of her home, handing the keys over to Sans and Papyrus so they could babysit Frisk while she was out for the afternoon.
*“I’ll be back in a few hours, I just have some errands to attend to,” she had told them, but it wasn’t exactly the truth; in fact, it was far from it. The truth was… Toriel was going on a blind date.
*It had been almost a year since the barrier had been broken, and while Toriel enjoyed her life as a school teacher, things had become a bit…bland. Papyrus was becoming a chef and had his own cooking show on MTV (Mettaton Television; it was surprising how fast the humans had grown to love the robot star), Muffet had her own bakery, Undyne had become an undefeated professional wrestler, and Alphys helped Mettaton run his network; but all Toriel had was Frisk and her school. Sure, she loved teaching the children, but she was beginning to get rather lonely.
*So when she had asked Sans to help her meet more people and he had suggested “online dating”, she was more open to the idea than she would have been a year earlier. This particular one was a blind date; the others had requested that they meet at the Mettaton themed restaurant overlooking the ocean, within walking distance of her New home on the surface.
*They had also made sure to specify that they came as a pair; ‘never one, without the other" they said, but Tori didn’t particularly mind. After all, she was more than willing to share her time with multiple people; her and Asgore were finally reconciling and considering the possibility of making another attempt at a relationship. But for now, that was just a possibility, and she was focused on the matter at hand.
*A little too focused. She had been so caught up in her head, pondering about who her dates could be and what they might look like, that she didn't realize she had arrived until she accidentally walked into another couple at the doors to the restaurant. She made a quick apology and ducked in (She was too tall to fit in standing) and talked to the woman at the front about her reservations, explaining that she was waiting for two others before being led to an outside table; and there, she waited, a single blue rose on her hat to indicate she was the one her dates should look for.

* you think i didn’t--
* you’re saying I didn’t care, but then you insult me in front of frisk? * it’s rude to talk badly about someone who’s listening.
* and my plan was fine until you ruined it.

“Alphys would definitely love them.”
