It was good to know they were on the same page. “Let’s just order pizza and watch a movie.”
There was a deep sigh from Candela as she crossed her arms and gave her brother a look of annoyance. Of course he insisted on joining her outside of the apartment, and it was driving her mad. She sort of wanted to strangle him, although that wouldn’t do much of anything.
So instead she was stuck staring down the multiple CDs with a furrowed brow on her face as Lux seemed to hover over her. “Can you please back off? I know you don’t want me to hang out alone but I’m about to punch you.”
Her brother gave a disapproving look.

Candela and Lux had been busy together for once. It was one of the rare occasions he stayed at work to get more work done, and this time she went to join him. It was to help Bolt who was currently staying with them, since they had to get through all the sticky stuff to make him legal and find a new owner for him. Candela was there to help Lux out since the two siblings weren’t the closest thing to him, but they both could come up with enough information together. Not to mention she had Bolt’s number so she did her best to text him any questions they couldn’t answer.
Eventually it was night again, and Lux had sent Candela home before the sun completely set so she wasn’t walking in the dark. He didn’t want her to get attacked, and he had to get to his next shift. He would most likely be exhausted the next day, but it was expected considering he worked all that day.
Candela had hoped to return to the apartment and plop onto the couch to watch TV and maybe hang out with Bolt. That is if he was home. She did notice he was leaving the place although she wasn’t quite sure where he was disappearing off to. She was pondering this as she road the elevator up, and she was so lost in her head she didn’t notice the fact there was a bug bot right at the front door to Lux’s apartment until she almost stepped on them.

As much as Candela adored her brother at times, she was definitely ready to strangle him lately. She was getting stir crazy handing out in his apartment. So instead of going out and buying booze as she was oh so tempted to do, and instead was making her way to Hydro’s place. Lux didn’t like the idea of her going out on her own, but considering he was clearly needing some sort of rest, she insisted.
Besides, it was just Hydro’s place. There was plenty of responsible people there that Lux knew about. So, she gave a good knock on the door once she finally reached the Foundation building.

“Hey. Just wanted to catch up,” Bass lied, deciding the real reason could wait a while. “Thought I should give you an update on Watt. He’s doing better now. Starting to act more like himself again after that mess a while ago.”
There was a small smile on Candela’s face as she closed the door and moved to sit on the bed. “That’s great.” She was honestly relieved. “I’m honestly glad he’s alive. What he went through was real shitty and... I honestly feel like it’s my fault. I’m such a terrible big sister.”
Lux didn’t know where Candela had been the night Watt had been brought in. She didn’t tell him she had been out that day, and as far as she knew, Scout and Lily hadn’t mentioned it either. If anything Candela definitely admired Lily, at least she went after Scout to stop her, all Candela did was call Bass then run and hide.
Which is probably why she went ahead and was able to get some money to get a drink that night. Lux didn’t know about that either.
He did know that she had suddenly reverted more into her depressed self like she was when she first lost her home. It concerned him but he couldn’t do anything if she didn’t open up to him. So instead of sleeping, she was just staring down the TV, not taking in any of the images as Lux left for work for the night.
