Mud pie recipe.
[Well, it involves no oven, so that's a plus for me. And since I found this recipe while looking through a kid's recipe book, I will share it. Plus I really really like chocolate.]
Ingredients:
chocolate strands (sprinkles, whatever you call them.)
1 chocolate bar. (Cadbury, if you like.)
125g (4 oz, .125kg) castor sugar (They're not the same as regular sugar, note that. One grain is probably a size bigger than one grain of regular table sugar.)
1 tsbp (Tablespoon) of cocoa powder.
175g (6 oz, .175kg) of butter (or margarine.)
250g (8 0z, .250 kg) broken biscuits (Now make sure they're not the tasteless kind.)
Raisins & nuts. (Optional.)
Tools:
Saucepan
Wooden spoon
20 cm (8 inches) diameter cake
Foil
Method:
Melt the butter in the saucepan. JUST MELT IT, DON'T MAKE IT WATER.
Add the cocoa and the sugar.
Now add the broken bits of biscuits.
Mix.
Turn off the stove, while you cover the 8 inch baking pan with foil.
Pour the mix in. Use the spoon, not your hands.
Press it down with the big spoon. Make it flat topped.
Place in fridge.
The muddy topping:
Melt the chocolate. JUST MELT IT LIKE I SAID.
Pour it on the now cold cake.
Spread out with a spoon.
Let it cool, unless you wanna burn your tongue.
