"i rescued him from a drain." come to think of it, he should've left the kitten where it was. now he's responsible for it, even if his track record proved that he had zero talent in keeping anything alive. tei was almost squeezing the poor tiny thing just to keep it still as he tried to ask ino for advice. "so yes, i suppose he's mine."
While she may have said she wasn’t impressed by people rescuing small, helpless animals... she was. Ino could feel her brows flattening at the answer and her earlier concerns were vanishing. Ever the optimist, she supposed that even someone as hopeless as Tei had a small space in his heart for these things. He had been moved to rescue an innocent, little kitten and definitely possessed the ability to look after it. She hoped.
She reached over to brush a finger over the kitten’s little head and smiled. “You did well. What is it called?”
