With a touch of dry humour in his voice;

“So the cold has affected you, hn?”

Not that it didn’t do the same to him. His breath escaped him in wisps of white, and he had a blanket wrapped around his form, the elder Uchiha trapped in the stables too thanks to the icy elements.

All the same, his mind was focused more so on the weather outside than the biting chill that it brought.

But still, he quietly raised his arm, making space for her to shift over.

“You can share this blanket with me if yours isn’t enough.”

"Good.. but I missed you." She replied holding out her tiny arms towards him. //Hey!//

Knowing full well just what it was that the girl was silently requesting, his expression softened some.

And he gave her just that; an embrace, after his knee met the ground.

"I missed you too," he said.

"Do forgive my absence, ah?"

A young friend that he greeted with a familial smile.

"Temari-san. How have you been?"

"Tachi-sama!" The girl shouted as she tackled his waist with a hug.

And here was yet another one he caught.

"Temari-san," he greeted.

"How are you?"

A sigh of relief.

That certainly sounded like his Otouto. … Though he had to say that he felt a bit sympathetic towards the girl for being pushed into a state of absolute fright so.

"Ah, I see," was all he said. He had no wish to pursue the subject more than was necessary. "That was rather kind of him."

"… Are you quite certain you’re content with just carrots, Temari-san?"

She shifted her head up causing the bunny ears to bounce. "You're Otouto? Sasuke-panda? Wow! He didn't say anything.. But then I was asking him how babies were made." She said nibbling on her carrot.

—It was only due to his notable skill at the field of emotional restraint that Itachi managed to keep his smile fixed on his face. 

"… Babies?" he repeated.

"And may I ask what it was that he told you in turn?"
