HEADCANON : because of his involvement with the serpents jug never makes the grades needed for a ‘good’ college && he has no interest in going to a junior/community college. the effort he should have channeled into his academics, were instead focused on keeping his dad, the serpents, && his town afloat. while fp preached wanting better for his son, he played an active part in pulling him down, keeping him from his full potential && instead putting him in a position to repeat the sins of his father.
