“i feel so sorry for having been so grossed by people being trying to be way too intimate at the party,” violet sighed, shaking her head. sure it still made her feel icky, but the events that happened after those monsters showed up had been so much worse. “oh, uh, i’m sorry. i was talking about what happened at that party.”

“do you often go dancing? to songs like these?” violet asked just as a slower instrumental song began to play. it had been a long time since she’d danced to these kinds of music. actually, if she remembered correctly, it would’ve been her senior prom. that made her feel kind of old even if it had been less than ten years.

“yeah, i wish i hadn’t seen or heard that,” she spoke under her breath as she hurriedly made her way back to the main room. she’d gone to the bathroom and went invisible when she’d seen two people making out and trying to do more. violet was grateful she’d left before it had gotten too risqué.

“oh, no,” she whispered under her breath as she adjusted her hair so it was behind her ear. violet also felt like her mask was about to slip off her face so she made sure to quickly adjust that. as she finished and turned around she bumped into someone, “i’m sorry, my bad.”

“this is my first time wearing a princess dress for something halloween related. i never wore one as a child when i went trick-or-treating,” she shrugged. plus she didn’t often make the choice to wear dresses in general either. she preferred jeans and maybe nice t-shirts or sweaters. something that could hide her superhero outfit. “this was also the first one that caught my eye at the store.”

“hello, princess,” violet did a small curtsy as she approached the other in their belle dress. once she was upright she let out a small giggle, having felt a little silly for the curtsy but also she knew she had liked doing it. “you’re the first one in another disney princess costume i’ve run into so far tonight.”

violet parr immediately smiled upon receiving her invitation and the first thing she did was buy her mask. she’s also worn one with her superhero outfit and she wanted it to be different. of course she bought her costume the next day and instantly vetoed the person trying to persuade her to get the matching cape. edna mode would’ve been proud of her. 

violet is happy to go out to the dance floor and even make a few friends. she’s probably going to avoid using her powers unless she wants to play a harmless prank or two. she’d want to avoid actually breaking something important.
