i was on twt just now and i saw that vid of miss iris talking to taehyung about his voice on ahl in 2014 n i Immediantly Started Crying bc like....taehyung was so young. he was only 18 at the time and he was still new to being an idol/having fans bc bighit didn’t want to introduce him like they did with the other 6 members. he was reduced to just the deep growly voice in some songs and the only lines he got were ones that were growled. we never got to hear his actual singing voice back then and it’s so heartbreaking to think about bc his voice is the best in the whole entir e world imo (im biased lol Whoops!) & he never got the chance to show it off. so when miss iris heard him sing, u could see the fondness in her eyes and she was just so fascinated with his voice and i can imagine how much of a confidence boost that was to baby tae :( when she said “you’ve got a soulful voice, people feel something when you sing” i just :( bc she’s rightjfjsckdjb his voice is so calming to me and i imagine it is to a lot of other ppl too. there’s smth abt his voice that’s just so soothing to hear and im so glad miss iris took note of it and pointed it out to him. & when she said “keep him” i fjkdjskaBROKE. Down. bc like i said before he was kept hidden for so long and no one knew he existed before they debuted (when jimin took a pic with someone’s back and everyone assumed it was jk when it was tae and he couldn’t show his face, he was always left out of their vlives together before the debut, etc.) and even after he was introduced, it took a while for some fans to warm up to him (i.e. that one fan who completely ignored tae at the fansign and he looked really sad and jin had to cheer him up. he was SEVENTEEN he didn’t deserve that oh my gfo), so to see miss iris tell bighit/bts in general to “keep him” had me in shambles bc he deserves the entire universe and to know that he was treated like SHIT for a while is so annoying. i love you miss iris.

ps. someone said miss iris was their music teacher so they showed her stigma/singularity when they came out and she said she was really proud of him and . me too wow!
