An orange cat ear tilts to the side while her black cat ear turns forward, trying to decide if the question amused or annoyed her. It’s one she gets often and her reaction to it changes day to day.

“You bet, but they’re not my favorites to copy,” the Lucky Hero answers, deciding to roll with it this time.

“It can mess with the costume,” she half jokes while tugging at her face mask.

They’re standing on the curb to cross a street, to-go cups of hot tea in hand. Kyou is bouncing on her feet, trying to keep herself as warm as possible on this blustery Fall day. She regrets taking off her face mask, even if it is to drink the piping hot drink. It’s still not enough.

Ears flattened into her hair, one flicks up with an idea. The corners of her mouth curl upward in a scheming smirk. “Yagi~,” she whines, “Yagi, c’mere. Closer. Closer~~~”

Swiftly rolling onto her tiptoes, Miura closes the gap between the much taller man and herself. The kiss is chaste and brief, cut short because the light turned and Kyou gets herself too flustered to keep up her little trick.

“Much better,” she squeaks and trots on ahead, loudly sipping her tea and failing at playing off kissing All Might.

They’re tied up back to back on the floor, captured by Villains. Mic is gagged, but Kyou isn’t. Looks like they don’t know what her Quirk is. Kyou is wriggling and grunting in frustration, taking longer than she wants to shrug off her face mask. There’s a little room to move, not much, but their enemies don’t seem the best at tying ropes. They’re also cocky, as they huddle off some feet from the two Pro Heroes and debate what to do with their catch.

“Psssst! Present Mic,” she hisses quietly, pouting and blushing like her idea is more dangerous than the situation they’re in, “look at me.”

As soon as the Voice Hero turns enough, Copy Cat jams her head against his. He’s got a lot of ridiculous accessories and gear on, but she manages a peck of a kiss on his temple. That bit of skin to skin contact should be enough to Copy the other Hero’s Quirk. Under normal circumstances, she would think against Copying Present Mic. Sound based Quirks never sat well with her, but desperate times.

Now even more thoroughly embarrassed, Kyou faces forward again and throws her head back. She doesn’t have anything clever to say and just—

“AAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!”

He’s right, though. She’s looking over the student’s shoulder rather than directly at him. Her eyelids are heavy from a nearly week’s long stakeout, the light fading from her usually bright green eyes. She rubs the foot of her mittened palm at her eyes and huffs out a sigh through her nose. She’s recently signed up with an agency on a Trigger investigation. Since she’s not well known, it’s easy for her to tail suspects in her street clothes. On day 4, though, she could use something stronger than the espresso she’s drinking.

“Shift’s not up yet,” she grumbles on as she slumps a bit in her cafe chair, “and none of these dudes made a move.”
