“I needed you and you weren’t there.”

It’s a little challenging for Hana to break out of her little isolation phase when she’s caught up on feeling the urge to stay home most of the time. There’s no emotion of sadness in her body, exhaustion is more appropriate to describe how she’s been feeling the past few weeks. The younger female forgotten about her plans with one of her closer friends, needing to visit and drop by after her schedule is completed on a Friday evening. Except it took her a while to get ready, she forgot until she checked the small handful of messages Hani left behind for her eyes to read.
Half of the time, she didn’t want to go out. Not when she feels easily sick to her stomach and she feels lightheaded. There she was, twenty minutes late with her breathing heavy silently underneath pants. And eyes beginning to rise to the latter’s direction, disappointment observed and Hana frowns. She doesn’t mean to be late, it’s not often it happens either but when close friends stare her down with complete sadness. When they know the brunette can do better, it makes her feel so small.
❝I know, puffy I just -❞ Hani doesn’t know much about it yet. If she caught on to the conversation, it was treated as a playful joke half of the time. And it’s difficult to explain it when she never clearly sees a predictable reaction. This little meeting between them is always meaningful, especially when they never spend too much quality time together. There’s a small apology escaping her lips, two small words with the meaning starting to fade into nothing. ❝I was caught up on something else. Lost track of time.❞
