It’s early in the evening. The temperature beginning to drop within the hours as time flies by for everyone. Her pace was quickened up to where she positioned herself near by the local restaurants that were scattered down the street. The warmth of her breath collides against the cold air, cheeks caressed until they were completely numb to the touch when her lithe fingers were beginning to rest against them.
“Some weather we’re having, huh?”
For a moment, Sungkyung didn’t think someone was creating conversation with her. Momentarily shrugging it off like it was nothing then she proceeds to fish out a lighter and a box of cigarettes that were resting in the back pocket of her jeans. A flick of the thumb, forefinger and thumb picking out a random stick from the many others that were tucked securely away. And she’s smoking, her head turning the opposite direction, albeit her eyes were shifting to the direction of the owner’s voice to see who it was.
❝Been like this for months, this shit isn’t
nothin’ new. Let’s be honest right now.❞
Her lungs captured the smoke, coiled it within securely pressed lips and she closes her eyes in order to figure out how to head back home soon. The winter season isn't distasteful, she appreciates the way the snow tends to fall or how the hues of gray were in display along the sky above. It's the way her fingers can barely feel a thing, to where her teeth grind upon one another is the downfall.
