; about the scar that cassandra has on her outer left thigh. ( decided to give it a story because it needs a story behind it. ) 

it was just a month after her 20th birthday. she was working a case down in montana. it was a string of odd disappearances ( mostly females in their teens and early 20s ). whatever had been doing it had been doing it in the past too, every 30 years in different locations in montana. so she had settled down in a city that it had been happening in and was there for about two weeks before she was getting closer, finally finding a trail of breadcrumbs. a moment before though and she was getting snatched. she woke up a few days later in a dark pit with a bunch of the stolen girls. like her, they were all tied up and chained to poles, most of them fading on life. they were all being starved and fed on for days with cassandra’s energy fading low. but she did work on getting out, managing to slip through chains eventually. getting everyone out though would pose a problem, seeing as she wasn’t too sure on where they were, or what was doing this. plus, she didn’t have any weapons on her so consider this situation pretty bad. 

whatever it was came down every few days, usually dropping a new girl down with them, leaving those few days to find a way out. after getting everyone unchained, they all went looking for an exit. the most likely exit being the one that put them in here. so they went up and out. it seemed getting out was easier than it looked, but with all of them on the weak side and fading it was a bit hard to do. the THING came back though, in the midst of all their escape. long story short, it grabbed back onto cassandra. she, of course, fought back with whatever strength she could manage. the other girls eventually came in to help though. anything was better than just cassandra fighting against it. when they thought they had it down, they started running. it caught up though, snatching onto cassandra’s leg, pulling her down, and digging a claw into her hip and then down to her knee, leaving a rip of a scar. it hurt bad. a lot of blood loss in the process of getting an open wound that deep. everything afterwards was faint. she could remember a heat and what felt like fire before everything went black. she woke up a few days later in a hospital, much to her disgust. longer story going shorter here, one of the captured girls lit the thing on fire before they all carried cassandra back to safety until the help arrived. and there is the story of how she got her scar.
