Not that I don’t love animals, but being surrounded by demons with all sorts of heads, from moth to elefant, throughout the eternity makes it not so enticing.” • How is your relationship with your parents? "I don’t have any parents. I’m an idea, a function.” • What is your favourite read? "All the holy books and legends ever written and not written.” • Do you put both socks on first, or one sock, one shoe? “That would mean I ever undress and then dress back.” • Do you fold your clothes before bed? "See the previous answer.” • How do you feel about marriage? "That would be weird. Though I had a relationship somehow close to the marriage. Obviously, it didn’t turn well.” • Who was the last person you crushed on? "None. Too busy to fall in love, not sure if I can.” • What does your dream home look like? Where should it be? "I don’t dream about home. I dream about ceaseing to exist.” • What’s your worst habit? "Getting kaboom at the least expected moments? 012 Sun Despite some misconceptions, Jack wasn’t there when the Creation happened, the Big Bang, the hatching... When the Materia Prima split to many rocks and fell on Earth, he emerged as some of the many other ideas. As many of the ideas of the opposite of the good. So, when he arrived Sun was already there, and though later he saw them all, this one was still kind of a miracle for him because only this one gave light and warmth to the Big Fish’s most beloved creations. Besides his own names, Son of dawn and Lightbringer connected to the Sun meaning that he probably has a part of it in him, too.

017 Saint Jack doesn’t believe in righteous people or saints. Every person has dark secrets, deep fears, the breaking point when they’re ready to sell their soul, and their price. He’s never met anyone actually saint but he believes in choices. He believes that anyone can make the right choice even if it’s the tough one.

066 Music Some say that the Devil once was bored, made a flute, and invented the music. Ages passed, the story changed many times. Even if he knows the truth he won’t tell you, mostly because he barely remembers it himself. Jack loves the music, different kinds of it, and depending on which of the stories he is himself. As to the current version of him, he also has no preferences in modern music as long as it touches the souls.

UPD: Does Jack play any instrument? Yes, he does. No, he doesn’t. He’s the Devil. His energy outbursts drive people mad, pull out their deepest fears, their anger, and can literally make people kill each other in rage. Imagine what can happen if he starts to play violin? The pied Piper would seem a joke. So, yes, of course, he can play anything. No, he never would.

What I forgot to say is that Jack's other form is pretty much canonical (horns, ‘goat‘ face, hooves, tail) and clothed in flames. Some categories  of people can see it: true believers (doesn't matter which faith) including shamans, insane and probably psychics. Cameras don't see him or see him as a shining silhouette of a humanoid figure.

So, Jack IS the Devil himself, though the background is pretty nonconventional. The Big Fish (God) is probably not even his father. After the Creation/Big Bang/whatever things in the other realms just became as they are. There is Heaven with angels and righteous souls, there is Hell with condemned, there is Purgatory for those souls who are in-between, and somewhere, no one knows actually where is the boss of all - The Big Fish. Every unearthly department has its jurisdiction. Jack was running Hell and guarding its prisoners. Basically, he and Hell are parts of one, and that’s why his escape can be so dangerous for the whole existence. Jack is not omnipotent but he is powerful. He has the absolute healing ability, first of all, because he’s not a human at all. Nothing about him is human except the appearance. He has the ultimate strength (look at Lucifer in Lucifer, Jack is the same). He can read thoughts and by the touch, he can see the person’s worst life nightmares, their sins, their crimes, their guilt et cetera. So, he doesn’t need to ask about desires, he already knows. When he was THE Devil he made deals usually by appearing at some tragic situations and offering the choice. “I nudge, you choose.” Not everyone makes the wrong choice, but those who make get collected after some amount of years. The outburst of Jack’s energy can turn people’s dark sides against them. The bigger the outburst, the worse the outcome. People can start killing themselves or/and each other. That’s why he took a flask with an old Chinese magic potion with him before slipping through one of the Gates. It helped him to keep his own darkness at bay but not for long. Later an old Paiute ghost dancer named Lulu (Rabbit) taught him how to call a truce between his dark and light pua. But it’s also a temporary measure because the Devil is always the Devil, and the liar is always the liar even if he suddenly grew a heart. Jack doesn’t use magic himself but he can reinforce it with his own power. That’s it for now, if I come up with something else there will be another post.
